    Seems like an obvious move.

    If Pavlik can't make 160

Good for Martinez and his team sticking to their guns, I really don't want to see a rematch in a fight that wasn't close and that Sergio dominated for the most part.

Also, its a MW title with a weight limit of 160, these are the conditions under which it was won by Sergio and if Pavlik wants it back those should be the conditions under which he should have to win it back, either that or move on and fight guys your own size.

i am a fan of both fighters but good for sergio. he came up high enough.

the title is at 160 so the fight should be there.

sergio should fight floyd at 154 that would be a brilliant contest.

then maybe a year from now he can rematch pavlik at 164 or where ever he wants

pavlik should make a fight with bute at 168 whch would be another good bout

I am tired of these boxers starving themselves to fight smaller guys and when they get beat up they make excuses about weight when it's the advantage they were looking for. Pavlik needs to go 168...there are plenty of competition there...Lucian Bute is available now that the others are tied up in the super 6. Must be a top rank fighters....(SMH)this promotional organization is corrupting boxing big time.

i have a feeling pavlik won't want the rematch,i think he can still make 160,but will use that as an excuse to get out of the rematch and go to 168 where i think he can become champ again, those champs aren't really boxers like martinez so he'll have a better chance

Pavlik vs. Bute would be a good scrap at 168.

I disagree here. I think Martinez will beat both Williams and Pavlik in the rematches because he knows their styles. Martinez switches up the punches that he throws and and is too slick for Pavlik. He knows that doubling up on the punches after Pavlik adapted is what won the fight.

Every time Martinez fights, it is the other guy that has to adapt to Martinez while he easily wins the first 4 rds. That fact is still not going to change when he rematches either of the two guys. He knows that a plan B and plan C is all that is needed to switch it into high gear and leave these two in the dust. Plus, Martinez always turns his fist while punching, this is what allows him to cut these other boxers up. With the amount of scar tissue that Williams and Pavlik both have over their eyes, Martinez will have them spewing blood everywhere by the 5th rd from cuts and their fighting abilities will go down even more from there.
