Would you bash Floyd if he decided to fight Martinez for the belts at a 158 catch?

I don't think Floyd would have to do that anyway.

Martinez wouldn't even come in at 160 in the first place.. and neither would Floyd.

No reason to implement a catchweight.

Floyd would come in at around 155lbs.. and I doubt Martinez weighs in at 160.

      I would.

Even though Sergio is more of a natural 154 pounder, he should be allowed to come in at whatever comfortable weight he wants.

NO! its not okay for anyone to do it, **** that ****. If you want someone's title then fight for it at that weight without catchweight or restriction, This isnt some Sugar Ray leonard BS.

Pacquiao did it for Cotto's WBO WW title at 145 and most fans defended that because he was a 'small WW'. So would you defend Floyd because he would be a small MW?

Would you be okay with this?
it would be totally fine with me kev

I understand and I agree in almost every case.

Just that, Martinez isn't even a full blown MW himself.

But, there is no reason to actually make a catchweight in the contract.. I see no real reason for it.

But, if it DID happen.. It wouldn't effect Martinez the way I think it could have effected Cotto.

I don't like catchweight fights but 158 isn't that bad. Just like 145 for Pacquiao vs Cotto wasn't too bad. Besides Martinez is really 154 pounder.

IDK I just don't like catchweight fights.

it's wrong to not allow a champ to have the weight limit allowance.

                  period

it was wrong for Oscar to demand it from Hopkins
it was wrong for Manny to make a fight with Cotto at 145 THEN ask that Cotto's belt be on the line
and it would be wrong for Mayweather to ask Martinez to not have the chance at using the 160lb limit
