You know whats annoying about boxing. It seems like with every great fighter, theres a way to make them look bad. Its always he came a great time...scubby boobi had just left the division. And he made sure he ducked Piggi Wiggi. Its like c'mon man, can't anyone just be great? Theres always some story with every career or with every fight. The bottomline is, Floyd is undefeated and I don't see him losing to anybody except father time. He'll dominate manny in my opinion. Just being honest.

I've followed Floyd for longer so I like him a bit more than Pac and that makes me a nuthugging ***** and Pac hater in NSB. :jerk:

In retrospect, it makes no difference, Floyd makes easy 12 round work of Cotto or Marg.
If Tyson never fought Douglas/Holyfield or if Jones never fought Tarver or Tito never fought Hopkins. Every body would of said in retrospect Mike, Tito and Roy would of won that fight.
You have to win it in the ring you don't win it on paper. We don't know what would of happened in those fights. Floyd probably would of won but at the same time he could of lost. We just don't know and he put himself in that position of my doubting him going unbeaten in that stretch.Last edited by jrosales13; 05-07-2010, 09:21 AM.

I remember reading an interview that Leonard Ellerbee gave in Ring magazine, he was instrumental in re-marketing Floyd to broader audiences which is why he appeared on Dancing with the Stars and took on the "Money" personae. That reminds me of another interview with Madonna in Playboy where she helped Deion Sanders invent "Showtime" personae and Dennis Rodman become well, Dennis Rodman.
Controversy sells and even Floyd said so himself in a recent Boxingscene interview - he makes good TV so all of his nonsense really just helps him make more money. I wonder if Shane who is a legend in his own right would have had bigger fights and more financial success if he did some of the same as opposed to being just the nice guy that he seems like.

i think floyd felt that Arum should have made him a star. when it didn't seem like it was happening the way he wanted he took it upon himself to play the bad guy role and it helps him sell fights
i mean floyd got booed in his pro debut performance as I remember for show boating fans have never really liked him
floyd is a perfectionist in the ring and alot of people don't like perfection they want something tainted because they find it easier to relate to them than someone like floyd or roy jones who are SO gifted that it kind of breeds contempt
thats why people like boxers like Kelly Pavlik blue collar humble guy who has worked hard to get where he is at
some people forget that guys like floyd and roy have worked that hard aswell the fact that they seem to have GOD GIVEN TALENT puts them in a different catergory especially when criticism is flying around
i respect what floyd has done in the ring and the fact that he's doing the very best to provide for his family
all that greater than ali talk. it's just to sell a fight even though he probably really believes it lol

my fellow white people would rather cheer for bumbling idiots like pavlik and mma fighters as opposed to the greatest fighter of this era (and possibly of all time) just because of the skin colors
