Jesus, he isn't choosing to plant is feet. he is flat footed now. what aren't you understanding?

Watch when he presses, watch when he moves. He steps with his "heels first" now as if he's walking regularly. he crosses his legs often now, he never leaves the flats of his feet.

THIS IS WHATS CALLED FLAT FOOTED. you cats are dilerious.

he sits in the pocket, or the ropes, wherever, and waits for a counter opportunity, This is all with flat feet. No one said he's slow, slowed down, cant move, or anything of the states.

Roach just stated a boxing fact. he is flat footed. he is never on his toes anymore. Baldimor was the last time he used his legs. and no, not because of his bicycle, but because every move he made was on his toes. watch him lead hook against Chico, he comes in off his toes.

Then watch him lead hook against Jmm (the KD) or against Mosley, or even watch him Check Hook Hatton. he did these from the flats of his feet.

    You guys are dumb.

Flat footed does NOT MEAN YOU CANT MOVE YOUR FEET.
FLAT FOOTED means you are standing on the flats of your damn feet. I do this **** (boxing) everyday of my life fam, and I'm telling you, you guys are getting it seriously misconstrued. You can move your feet all day and be flat footed.

Look at winky wright. arguably the most flat footed fighter i have ever seen in my life. he's so flat footed he looked like he was following over or off balance most the time he punched.

Here Freddy goes with the mind games..ala De La Hoya cant pull the trigger anymore. Already trying to get into Floyds head. Dont think it will work though. Floyd is too confident in his skills to fall for that. We'll see

Yea right..it's boxing sometime u will get punched in the head lol..even the p4p.
I didn't say he was the best. Ultra-defensive *****s are the funniest ones.

PS Roach already trained Oscar to fight Floyd
and that was in 07. Roach, when are you going
        to get the blueprint?
Can't come up with a gameplan? Umm... why would he have come up with one? He's not had a fighter fight Floyd since Oscar... who was doing just great using the gameplan.

Yes he is flatfooted and easy to beat....PLEASE make the fight...I want to see how you beat him....hahahaha
Funny how the trainers are the ones talking **** when they are not fighting in the ring. Clottey was able to land his right hand when he threw it....Flat footed Floyd would bust him up all night.

Because Roach is the trainer perhaps? And didn't he mention
in the article about coming up with a game plan or strategy
            for Mayweather?

Very interesting observation from Freddie Roach; I for one have observed this for quite some time now. Ever since moving up to the welterweight divisions, Money has appeared to have lost some mobility in his lower body.

I've noticed whenever pressed, he no longer circles the ring without his back touching the ropes or corners as well as he used to when fighting at the lower Junior light and lightweight divisions.

However, I think it's a bit presumptuous to believe that PBF cannot move anymore. Sure his legs aren't the same as they were ten years ago but on Saturday night it was done by design.

Just like in the case of Zab Judah, the game-plan was to keep the action in the center of the ring, by fighting flat-footed and toe to toe in order to attack Mosley so he can back him up, consistently beating to the punch and neutralizing his punching power.

Shane is a power boxer who doesn't box well backing up.

He is reminding me more and more of James Toney in the ring. and we ALL know james even in his prime appeared "lazy' in the ring.

You guys are calling it "relaxed", but it's flat footed. Floyd is literally standing on the flats of his feet, he use to only stand on his toes.

                  Not to mention

                  He walked Judah down
Rope a Doped with oscar and hatton for the most part
Stood center ring with Mosley and JMM.

You see? his last fights he was either sitting still or moving foward. You guys don't want to admit it, but the man is flat footed now. This is NOT a problem. Don't take it as an insult. Roach is just stating a fact. FLoyd rests on the flats of his feet in the ring now, much like james toney.
Wrong Wrong Wrong!!!! Mayweather was the one who bullied Hatton when it should have been the other way round, so he did not Rope a Dope there. He actually beat Hatton at his own game and that showed all us fans in the UK for the first time that Mayweather has balls of beef.

Flat footed?? Nope! Anyone that wants to put more power/aggression into a punch will have to widen their stance. That is exactly what Mayweather does,, and he's been doing it all his career. That my friend is not being flat footed.

Come on guy's,, he's adjusting and tweaking some things in his career but they are not technical adjustments,, he's showing that all those pound 4 pound rankings have been wrong for the last while!! No boxer has ever had the reflexes/radar of Mayweather,, so stop trying to pick faults that just aren't there. He's as hard as nails and you aaaalllll know it now!!!

The man is flat footed, deal with it.

He used his legs often early in his career. Now everything he does is from the torso on up. I dare you to say Roach is wrong. Everything for the most part that floyd does, is in the hips on up, torso, the whole nine.

The simularities to james toney now are scarey. This does not mean he "doesn't have his legs anymore" it means he "doesnt USE his legs anymore". Even when he's moving now, his heels are the first thing to touch the canvas. This is called "walking", this is FLAT FOOTED in boxing. "stepping" is the correct way to move, and that's with your TOES touching the canvas first.

No one said floyd is on a decline or slow ,or, nothing of the sorts. roach just stated a boxing "facT". floyd is flat footed now.

Regardless, he was flat footed with hatton. You're dumb. Floyd isn't even widening his stance, what are you talking about? his legs are closer together now than ever before. He relies more on rolling his shoulders, hips, and torso than previously.

Learn something or 2 about what terms actually mean in boxing before you start yapping your mouth.

the term flat footed is an accurate assessment of how floyds feet work in the ring right now.
