Freddie Roach: "Mayweather Can't Punch At 147" - Agree or Disagree?

    Floyd Mayweather Jr.: Won 41 (KO 25) - - - 60.98% KO Ratio

In seven fights at the 147 or above, Mayweather has KO'd Ricky Hatton and Sharmba Mitchell, two fighters who boxed only a few times at the weight. Do you agree or disagree with Freddie Roach's assessment when he states that Mayweather "can't punch" at 147?

Roach made the statement in the interview posted earlier, check it here.

Interviewer: Why at 147 is he (Floyd Mayweather Jr.) pedestrian? Is it the speed factor or is it the fact he can't knock out bigger guys?

Freddie Roach: "He can't punch at that weight, it's his biggest issue I think."

EXCELLENT INTERVIEW. What I found more shocking is how he said Floyd is flat-footed. I never noticed it before, but Freddie has a point.

Floyd still has Fast hands and fast upperbody movement, but his legs are not what they used to be.

I think Shane would disagree. The shots Shane took seemed to bother him in the fight maybe more than he expected.

Freddie is obviously trying to play mind games.

floyd got decent power at WW.... thats it. any WW can walk into floyd punches

but power is not really what make floyd great, its his accuracy.

he was hitting Shane flush though. I mean, it better do a bit of damage. If Shane was taking shots flush like that from other fighters we might have a different story.

I think Floyd looked a little bulked up for Shane too, in comparison to his fight with Marquez. Might explain his heavy legs.

Pacquiao looked like he was losing his legs in the Cotto fight, and he seemed heavier, then in his fight with Clottey they said they worked on his legs a lot, and he seemed to have his feet back.

I think Mayweather just needs to find a good weight.

I didn't expect Mayweather to get that much respect from Mosley. He has filled into the division, he's hitting harder. So I disagree with Roach.
