In seven fights at the 147 or above, Mayweather has KO'd Ricky Hatton and Sharmba Mitchell, two fighters who boxed only a few times at the weight. Do you agree or disagree with Freddie Roach's assessment when he states that Mayweather "can't punch" at 147?

Roach made the statement in the interview posted earlier, check it here.

Interviewer: Why at 147 is he (Floyd Mayweather Jr.) pedestrian? Is it the speed factor or is it the fact he can't knock out bigger guys?

Freddie Roach: "He can't punch at that weight, it's his biggest issue I think."
in fairness to floyd, baldomir is invincible, nobodys ever stopped shane, oscar was at 154,and he was well on his way to stopping judah before that low blow.mannys 2 k.o's at welter should have a asterisk as oscar came down to 147 and he made cotto come down to 145.even though he was kicking cottos ass that fight shouldnt have been stopped bein as how cotto was staying away and boxing.

Did you know see the jmm fight where floyd was on his toe and moving well
and his fight with baldomir, and mosley also when he moved---floyd knows that he has to stand flatfooted more because he needs to impose his power on these ww's to make them respect him---he didn't fight flatfooted fully in the judah fight---but he did when he walked him down---the reason why freddie thinks floyd is flatfooted is because of this---floyd is so good, that he can move and stand and deliver while still using his upperbody movement to evade punches---this is why he's so versatile and why he's the only complete fighter in the sport---floyd moves well---if floyd was flatfooted---he wouldn't be called a "runner" floyd moves well on his toes, and i'm glad you brought up the jmm fight---coz moved very well to avoid juan's punches---watch round 6 where's he on his toes on his back foot as usual, getting ready to counter juan's jab, and floyd does it, like he's on his mark, on his toes, he counters the jab with a right hand, andthen immediately evades a returning right hook juan throws at him----that's because that all started with floyd being on his toes---he's so smart defensively---it's mind boggling---and juan was a smaller man just like manny is---manny bounces around and looks like he's a fighter who can move well against fighter who are stationary---he will lose a lot of his balance doing this against floyd-----

floyd knows how to switch from being flat footed to fighting on his toes in one stance--he did it a lot in the marquez---you see, this is the **** people don't pay attention to, and i do, when you watch how floyd's stance it, and how he looks like a ninja in his stance, when he's on his toes, and then on his feet---it's a sign of things to come---i used to talk about his stance being almost perfect for what he wants to do offfensively/defensively because of how he gets low, or he fakes his opponent out, or how he dips and ducks or blocks punches---it's makes him so hard to hit---just looking at his stance---which is something manny will have to deal with, and it will end up being too much for him, just from floyd's stance---one minute---he'll hold his hands in a high guard--the next minute, he'll hold it in the shoulder roll stance---and then catch you with a sneaky right hand, that's hidden behind his left shoulder, and that makes him a little unorthodox, and that much harder to stop---then he'll hold his hands low, getting ready to throw the counter right hand, and it's obvious to me, he's about to throw it, but he'll only throw it for the most part, when he sees you're in the right distance and he'll feint you just a little to make it seem like he won't throw it----then when he throws and lands it, he'll immediately get out of punching range it you immediately throw something back at him----making it that much harder on your stamina--coz you'll miss big, and then he'll make you again after you miss---he did that with mosley, baldomir, oscar, judah, and jmm-----or he'll simply walk you down and land a combo you wouldn't even think he know how to throw---like he did with corley, another southpaw---like in round 8--where he landed the right hook, right uppercut, followed by the left hook, while fighting him in the pocket, throwing uppercuts to his body, just seconds ago---

i know this seems like a lot to understand---but all you have to do is pay attention---rewind it, watch it in slow motion, watch his movement, his foot placement, and you'll see, for the most part, he starts off on his toes----which is why freddy roach is tripping when he calls floyd flat footed---he's out of his ****ing mind----

again, i know floyd's fighting style, i was practically raised on it in the ring---as well as whitaker's style and meldrick taylor's style and marvin hagler's training---which almost made me kill myself---lol--that mother****er was a training freak----lol

but that was besides the point----i know floyd's style and how it progressed through each weight class---so i'm no fool who's making **** up, trust me----floyd is not flat footed by any means---

Flat-footed or on his toes dancing, Mayweather is going to whip Manny so bad it will leave people speachless. And BoxingScene will become a ghost-town!!!!

on a scale of 1-10, 10 being george foreman power and 1 being malignaggi power, floyd's power would scale around 6-5 at WW.

I think its mainly because he cant KO the bigger guys. he doesn't carry his power agianst the bigger guys at 147. but guess what ??Manny Pacquiaou is not a true welter and will be KOd by mayweather

I think he meant that Mayweather can't KO anyone at 147 anymore. He's right about that. Floyd can punch though. He's wrong about that.
