Floyd may not have knock out power at 147 but he does have enough power to keep his opponent honest thats for sure just ask my man shane!!!

Me neither. Really didn't see that coming. If Roach and Pac really belive this misconception, Pac will be stopped.

I think Floyd looked a little bulked up for Shane too, in comparison to his fight with Marquez. Might explain his heavy legs.

Pacquiao looked like he was losing his legs in the Cotto fight, and he seemed heavier, then in his fight with Clottey they said they worked on his legs a lot, and he seemed to have his feet back.

I think Mayweather just needs to find a good weight.

What Dom said is what I'm getting at. When Floyd really started to connect Mosley almost instantly seemed affected and discouraged. Mosley has a good beard so I didn't expect him to be that troubled that early. In other word word I think Floyd was able to hurt Mosley a couple times. Going in I know a lot of people did not think that would happen.

In seven fights at the 147 or above, Mayweather has KO'd Ricky Hatton and Sharmba Mitchell, two fighters who boxed only a few times at the weight. Do you agree or disagree with Freddie Roach's assessment when he states that Mayweather "can't punch" at 147?

Roach made the statement in the interview posted earlier, check it here.

Interviewer: Why at 147 is he (Floyd Mayweather Jr.) pedestrian? Is it the speed factor or is it the fact he can't knock out bigger guys?

Freddie Roach: "He can't punch at that weight, it's his biggest issue I think."
I think Mayweather has deceptive power. He hits hard enough to get his opponents respect. If not, Mosley would have walked right through it recklessly. Like a lot of people thought he could do. But Mosley was respectful and Shane has a great chin. If a fighter walks in without respect Mayweather can hurt them because the punches are sharp and fast. That's what happened to Hatton who didn't know how to fight any other way but straight ahead.

Well, floyd punches hard enough to make manny fight him in court, rather in the ring---and as far as floyd being flat footed---i want them to keep on believing that---they have no idea how non-flat footed floyd fights at 147---he does stand and deliver power punches at close range---but i bet you--he'll fight manny in the pocket flat footed and non flat footed and still make manny miss because of hos good floyd's upperbody movement is---i've been saying this for years, his upperbody movement is fast and well balanced--he moves much better than manny---which is why he moves side to side---left to right and right to left to disrupt fighter's rhythm---

floyd has never fully fought flat footed---he can, no doubt do so, and still evade punches, but he moves well on his toes---only a fool will believe he's flat footed---and yes, i'm calling freddie roach a ****ing fool, i don't give a **** if he's a world class trainer or not---i know he's wrong in his assessment of floyd---he's already trained a fighter who lost against floyd--and his prize pupil is in for a shock if he thinks floyd fights flat footed---you just watch how flat footed floyd is once he lands on many and then avoids a punch he throws at him---

i repeat--freddie roach is wrong about floyd being flat footed----he's only flat footed when he wants to walk his opponent down and land hard shots--other than that he's on his toes and moving smoothly arounf the ring--that's why his footwork is so precise--coz he's not flat footed---just watch how he lands his counter right hands---he's on the his toes----he has good foot placement--which is why it's so easy for him to switch from his toes to his feet and back to his toes---just watch how he shadowboxes---

just coz manny bounces around alot to land his shots, doesn't make floyd flat footed coz he doesn't bounce at much---that bouncing bull**** is going to get manny hit like a mother****er----he's going to bounce right into a counter jab over his jab--i'm telling you fools now---

Floyd still has Fast hands and fast upperbody movement, but his legs are not what they used to be.
Are you and Roach basing this on the Mosley fight? Where he fought aggressive.
Did you know see the JMM fight where Floyd was on his toe and moving well

Well that's what's suppossed to happen when you go up in weight. Your punching power becomes less effective on the bigger guys.

Unless you're on HGH. Then you can punch like Mike Tyson

Floyd has never really had exceptional power, but look who he has been fighting:

Shane Mosley- Has never been stopped.
Juan Manuel Marquez- Has never been stopped.
Oscar De La Hoya- he quit against Manny, but aside from that he has only been stopped once, by Bernard Hopkins.
Carlos Baldomir- has only been stopped once in his career, in his 7th pro fight back in 1994.

These aren't opponents that are easy to knock out.

Ask his opponents, most of whom have never been stopped. I'd almost guarantee that they'd disagree.
