You won't even need 24/7 if he did.

I think his last fight was a PPV disappointment. The expectations were not met. GBP spent millions promoting it. The net might not even that huge as expected.

I believe the internet was not invented in 2007.

No, de la hoya is the biggest draw. He passed the torch to Floyd by fighting him.

Imagine Tyson on 24/7.......that would double his PPV success...

          I agree and disagree...

The internet to me has played more of a role of actually helping promote fights as opposed to hurting them. Viral media alone has gotten people Record Contracts, TV deals, etc. Even with people who stream fights, it doesn't equate to an extra Million of people who watched but didn't buy. Not everyone has the capabilities or know how to stream anything live on the net.

People knew Mike back then was clobbering people and or had the capability to KO someone quick, yet people STILL bought those PPVs. But with the exception of the McNeely fight, all of those fights were huge when they went down.

But also one key thing that many don't mention or fail to forget is Heavyweight Boxing then was still prominent and the most popular weight class. People expected and knew they'd see a KO. With Floyd, I think the casual fan may not see what Floyd's actually doing in the ring and will constitute it as being boring (trust me, I had to defend Floyd Saturday night lol).

But it is what it is...different times, different fighters, different fans...

De La Hoya to me = Most Consistent throughout a longer span. But if Floyd continues, he'll def pass up Oscar.
