Comments Thread For: Sources: Mayweather-Mosley Does 1.2 Million PPV Buys?

Veteran boxing scribe Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports was advised by "good sources" that last Saturday's HBO pay-per-view featuring Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley generated an early buyrate figure of around 1.1 to 1.2 million, which is not much higher than the 1 million buys generated by Mayweather's pay-per-view with Juan Manuel Marquez last September. nahhhhhhhh

I dont really believe those numbers, I'll wait on the real figures. I expected closer to 2 million if not over but we will c.

The Pros for those numbers are that the manny fight should be easier to make if it comes down to money. The Cons....? that boxing might be on its last legs if not dead because there was alot of promotion put into this, but...we shall c.

As for now i dont believe those numbers and i really hope they arent true.
