I love how every thread about Vitali Klitschko turns into an argument...

As you can clearly see, it was a glancing right hand.

Not a head butt, not laces.
that wasnt the punch it was the punch when they were clinched right after that one if u the hbo broadcast watch it again

the fact that klitschko was ahead means nothing if his face was in that state, and i seem to have heard of a certain henry cooper knocking down ali only for the fight to be later stoped on cuts.

The thing that gets me about this situation is the fact that some people still don't regard this as a legitimite win for lewis, the fact that klistchko was winning the fight is clear, but i still think to this day that that decision was far, albeit disapointing because it stopped an exciting fight.
getting cut is a weakness just like all the other weakneses, like stamina problems, weak chin etc, and lewis exposed that in that fight, and who's to say he wouldn't have done the exact same thing again in a rematch?

Lewis doesnt get full credit because of the fact that Vitali was ahead at the time of the stoppage. Both were tired, everyone just says Vitali was dead tired but Lewis also dropped to his stool like a sack of potatoes at the end of the last round. It was a win, but not a very good one. However, a win is a win.

Maybe its the choppy clip, but that punch doesnt look like it landed. I've never doubted the legitimacy of the stoppage though.

That is the punch, its directly from the replay that was shown several times. It's near the begining of the 3rd round and this replay is shown several times between rounds 3-4 and at the end of the fight.

After the clip ends you can see Vitali rub at his eye.

aw to hell with this! nobody's giving ground, nobody's admiting they're wrong, i wont agree, u wont agree, u apparently like lewis, i like klitschko. i hope the one thing we SHOULD agree on is that there should have been a rematch. if not to enhance or erase what happend in the first fight, lets have a rematch so we can at last have a superfight in the heavyweight division.

You've already admitted you were wrong about there being one cut, how's about now admitting you were wrong about the headbutt? You can't deny something that clear.

Once you get past that, I'd say we've made up some ground here.

ok, ill admit. i never saw a headbutt, but i thought i did. i never saw the cut punch, but since theres so much testimony against my statement, ill have to fold. alright, u were right, it wasnt a headbutt.

                  god, i feel so defeated...

Remember when you said Lewis deliberately cut Vitali and then changed you mind and said Lewis didn't cut him intentionally? You made a fool out of yourself and like 20 people said you were an Idiot? That was funny.

i dont argue that Lewis won the fight fair and square. But the fight was close at the time..with Vitali..seeming to gain momentum. Stopping the fight was justified. Im just saying if the fight went on a bit longer..Vitali had a chance to put Lewis out..and plus..that ass of a man..retired before giving Vitali a rematch..knowing how that fight ended..i guess he felt he was done and didnt wanna get in the ring with Vitali again.
