floyd is not that big of a draw at the gates after his last outings. he'd get booed most times. he'd most probably fill up MGM, but anything larger he wouldnt. ppl learned and they would rather just shell out $55 than plane and live seat tickets.

he'd do well w/ ppv though because of the hype he creates in 24/7.

anyway, i've heard a rumor that this fight has 700K in pre-orders already....

if that's true, then i'm predicting 2 mil.
They did those numbers because they moved it to Mexican independence day.

It was originally scheduled for July.

Marquez is a far bigger draw then Mosley is.

I think it'll still sell out and do between 800k-1.8million PPV buys.

Its a World Championship Boxing card.

Shane fought Mayorga at the Home Depot Center which is in HIS hometown of L.A in the Tennis stadium there that only holds 8000k.

The fight only sold about 3000k tickets.

how some ppl on this site have positive rep, is beyond me...

it may not. what i said, was that i was told the fight already has 700K in "pre-orders." it's unconfirmed tho.

if those numbers are accurate, i think 2 mil is a strong possibility.

It will be better then Pac and Clottey.. no doubt.. and has a very good chance of beating Pac vs Cotto fight..

Dude, I'm not making those numbers up. Mosley fought a big name in Mayorga in his own home town and could only muster 3000 seats.

I've seen fights at that place before, namely Vazquez/Marquez 3. 2 guys that only hardcore fans know about that fought at 122 and they packed the place.

Its the truth. Sorry you don't like it.

Marquez and Pac sold 400K+ fighting each other as super feathers.

                    With no 24/7's.

                    Marquez is a solid draw.

I heard the only tickets left are the super expensive one's closer to the ring.

I'll have to check that fact for myself. Regardless I'm hype to be able to watch this in the theater.
