I think it was some rust and I don't think he prepared for JMM as he should've. I think he only took the fight to satisfy the IRS. I like floyd but his dumb a$$ should've had Vince take all the taxes out of his WWE check instead of trying to get over.

I'm not saying marquez was. I'm saying floyd didn't prepare as he should. The only other plausible explanation (some of my boys believe this) is he didn't want to KO marquez and scare off manny. I think thats BS. I think he thought he could just come back. But you are both right, he looked different!

Floyd Mayweather never under-prepares. That's the LAST reason I would think of. Especially since he was beating up on Marquez. What we're discussing here is his hesitancy in pulling the trigger - not sure how that has anything to do with not being prepared enough. That has everything to do with age and inactivity.

Yup. And if you remember, right after the fight he said he sees that Lil Floyd is slowing down. Real talk. I remember Alton Merkerson said the same thing about Jones right before Tarver knocked him out.
