course the other top guys get nailed and what not
but not as often as cotto was last nite
and by another guy who himself had yet to prove himself
      Hatton gets hit alot
      Gatti gets hit alot
Mayweather is starting to get hit more
      Tszyu gets hit often
Harris can easily get taken out of his game and get hit alot

These are the top guys in the division and I have seen them get hit quite often in thier fights lately.

I think Cotto fought a smart fight, but with all the hype built up around him, I'd expect him to walk right over guys like Abdullaev. So, IMO, the jury's still out on him. I'd like to see what he can do against a guy like Hatton.

of course morales beat pacquao that was pretty clear and the score really didnt tell the whole story of the fight but cotto was landing some pretty solid body shots. Im not saying that abdualeav wasnt landing some good shots because he was but to say cotto wasnt landing good shots is ******. Also he obviously didnt need to land big shots cause his accumulation of shots to mohameds right eye closed that thing shut.

Shut up you ugly Ant, the Pinoy make more of a arguement than you, Abbie was hiding behind his arms 75% of the fight, buy glasses.

ive said id like 2 see cotto-hatton
get rid of one of these left hookin kids
                theyre pretty much the same
cept hattons proven hes got a chin, took shots from KT
cotto has showd me he may not have sucha good chin
and i dont think he can deal with pressure
which oww whats hattons best attribute? hes relentless
                gatti does get hit alot
but hell box when he needs too
plus he just hits way harder den cotto and can link combinations togethers alot smoother
mayweather starting to get it more
but not enough for cotto to do anythin
                hes still mayweather
                Lol
                Tszyu retired didnt he?
                and if he didnt
he should not just cuz of the loss to hatton
                but hes too old
                ive never seen harris
so i dont consider him a top guy

so hes suscepptible to right hands and lefts to the body
he can always come back lookin better his next fight
                  its not unheard of
but this fight made him look like ****
he really did look bad last nite

he keeps his facial and body composure
                  but watch his punches
                  soon as he gets hit
                  they change
they are no longer the crisp clean punches of a rising propect
but just another guy tryin to throw punches to keep someone off of him

plz dont insult the sport and urself with sucha weak case of look at his face
                  ur better then that gringo
i know u know a face doesnt tell the story of a fight
                  not comparen him to gatti
but countless times he comes out lookin the beaten fighter and its just not the case
                  he was in a fight
                  ofcourse hell have marks
cotto didnt see to have any
some guys just dont cut or mark

You're blowing this way out of proportion and have really been the only other guy I've seen (besides people that just can't stand Miguel for all the hyype he's gotten) to say such extreme things about that fight.

#1, Cotto was NEVER hurt to the body. I've seen him back off from a bodyshot at the hands of N'Dou that you could tell he felt, but he never looked hurt from anything that Abbie threw at his body. You need to check your eyes when assessing damage to a fighter. I've been following Cotto much longer and much more closely than you have.

#2, I completely disagree with you about him "changing his punches after he gets hit". I think he was changing his gameplan to adapt to Abbies solid defense and in your face pressure. At no point was Cotto just pushing out punches to test Mo. He was throwing combinations off the ropes to get space and to score sometimes sure, but thats just strategy. I thought Cotto landed the best body punches of the fight with 3 or 4 crisp left and rights to the body, and he landed two VERY hard crosses in that fight that were not only crisp, but were very effective. Abdullaevs punches werent so hard to the point that they sapped all of Cotto's strength or troubled him so much like you are trying to imply here...

#3, don't give me the whole "don't insult this and that and the sport yada yada" business because I've been watching boxing for almost 16 years and have developed a pretty good sense of when a fighter is taking punishment and when he's not. If Abdullaev were completely fine and wasn't hurt at all he would continued to fight despite the closed eye. He was taking too many hard shots AS A RESULT OF COTTO's HARD PUNCHING and knew that the fight was going to get out of hand. This is EXACTLY a case of a fighters face telling the story of the fight. Had Abduallaev KOed Cotto or something but had the swollen face as compared to Cotto's unmarked face then maybe you'd have a point.

I had Cotto up 5-2-1 going into the 9th. It was plain as day to see that he fought a good strategic fight against a pretty good opponent, but if you don't want to see that then theres no point in debating.
