And if you're LW-LHW sized, football is more lucrative than boxing. Do you think then, that Europe doesn't dominate those weight classes because our guys are playing football?Comment

So that's one fight that drew poor attendance. Between 2 fighters who weren't American.
What about Haye-Barrett? How our big superstar Haye was meant to draw thousands upon thousands? In the end he had to give away tickets for free and still couldn't fill the place up.
What about Khan-Kotelnik, which attracted 30k for PPV?

Are you guys seriously debating which country boxing is least popular in????? Come on, you're supposed to be supporting the sport, not bringing it down. You guys should want the American heavyweights to do well. Everyone loves a big, black, strong American to look up to.Comment

That's interesting that a Khan fight would even be PPV for you guys. JMM-Diaz II in July will be the first HBO PPV without Mayweather or Pac in god knows when. Probably Jones-Calzaghe in 2008.So that's one fight that drew poor attendance. Between 2 fighters who weren't American.

It's the same here though, maybe not in terms of being lucrative but if you're 6'4 or taller here then people will tell you to play rugby most of the time, even people encouraging you to play basketball which isn't popular here over a sport like boxing. But mostly it's rugby if you're a big guy, I'm 6'5 215lbs and people have always told me to play rugby but I persisted with football (soccer) :/Comment
