Angulo would be very competitive against both of them. Cotto and Margarito may both be damaged goods, and they are surely unproven at 154 lbs.

We all saw how that was working against Tony...(Plaster or not it didn't affect him, and Angulo is bigger than Tony) so I doubt Cotto can do all that and especially as easy as you guys make it seem.

cotto than fought the wrong fight. In a rematch cotto learns from his mistakes and beats margo, especially now that marg's chin has been cracked, and even thought Angulo is bigger, he's slower, more one dimensional and less of a volume puncher than margarito. Angulo just throws straight punches, cotto would just have to use his jab move to his left and counter over the top with lefts and straight rights, but thats easier said than done, but imo cotto outboxes angulo and tears him apart.

Anyway Angulo does stand a chance against both fighters. Margarito and Cotto do fit his style for the most part. Margarito will **** with him and Cotto will try to outbox him but Cotto has had trouble outboxing very good pressure fighters as is evidence with Margarito, Clottey, and Pacquiao. Therefore I favor Angulo against Cotto. However, who knows what new tricks Emmanuel Steward has taught Cotto. he is in a different division with a different trainer we can see a whole new Miguel Cotto. As for Margarito he looked very bad against Mosley and it isn't like he was outboxed he was OUTFOUGHT and that is usually what Margarito does to his opponents. Angulo has never been stopped like Margarito so I must say he still has that pschological edge and in a battle of wills which Angulo-Margarito will be based on their styles, that psychological edge can make all the difference. Again, I don't know where Margarito is mentally until we see him fight Garcia. As of now Angulo can possibly out**** him.

Maybe because the guy is still a prospect? I mean the guy only has like 20 fights and you guys want to throw him in against those beasts??

You guys act like what he's doing has never been done before....sure he might be targeting fighters that might be on the decline but isn't that the way it should be for young fighters? I mean start with the worn -out veterans and work towards the elites?

Pac has been fighting past-prime fighters for years yet he doesn't get any flack for it? An this guy that is just coming up gets ****ted on for it? i really don't understand why the hate....but then again this is a forum where posters glorify murderers and cheaters yet ****ts on honest and true fighters that give it their all.....very weird.....

whos pac fought past prime??? oscar sutton like 3 weights above him made him retire wasnt past it before that fight i didnt think did you? bet you never and you probly had oscar winnin it like me and most others hatton 29 comein of beatin malinaggi all over the place marquez at the very top of his game then thers the barrera morales fights which were apart of a trilogy so fights that ad to be had then diaz wbc champ worthy fight and clotty and cotto two of the top welters out there pacs fought the best out there constantly for years much more than any active fighter around i aint no die hard pac fan or mayweather fan just respect the pair of them jand when they fight want the best to win but on past pacs ahead inmy eyes

There's a reason Shaw would jump at a Cotto fight. Cotto can't fend off a guy like Angulo. He doesn't fight well enough backing up. He'll get hurt and stopped eventually by the bigger man. Cintronna nd Julio couldn't really dent Angulo, who's to say Cotto can?

Cotto might get beat by Angulo. He's been in some bruising fights and Cotto can't fight that well backing up for more than 6-7 rounds, then his legs start to weaken and he gasses out. We could see Angulo getting outboxed for 7-8 rounds and then Angulo take over and stop him.
But then again, Angulo doesn't have the experience of a Margarito and might not be able to finish the job. Either way though that would be a top fight.


Angulo vs Margarito would obviously be a pure war, but assuming Margarito still has something left he might be able to take this one because he would be bringing it to Angulo with unmatched intensity, and Angulo could end up being in over his head.

Those would be good fights.

The fight with Margarito has to happen now that I think about it. It's a perfect fight for both guys. And man it would be a war.
