I don't even think Angulo is all that good either. Prime Margarito would beat Angulo, but I don't know about the version now.
Julio ran way too much..and was running quickly w/o throwing or even landing clena punches..Cotto will land nasty combos and move around easily. Cotto would chop him down.

THis foker has a hard head, but no one has really bring the heat to his body.

Cotto gains nothing from fighting him though...so carry on...

Well actually Cotto gains respect in his new weight class by taking out one of the divisions top guys...easy win for cotto it think. It should be his next fight before he chases Martinez or Wiliams.

Cotto will do fine against Angulo...He'd outbox him so easily just like he did for the 1st 6-7 rounds vs Rito..and Angulo doesnt throw has many punches as Rito or as hard for that matter.

Against Cotto I feel Angulo takes it, Cotto cannot fight backwards effectively, he loses about 50% firepower going backwards and Angulo is bigger and stronger and more durable than Miguel so I think Perro mauls him like Tony did, possibly ends it earlier too.

Prime Margarito would completely destroy El Perro, but it would be a hell of a war, their sparring sessions were legendary and some of the most hellacious you can encounter. I can't speak on Tony at this point because I want to see how well he bounces back, the guy he is fighting is like an underrated version of Angulo so depending on how well Tony looks then I could guarantee a win against El Perro.

I hear you man, I'm one of the few Mexicans here that thinks he had to have cheated before but who knows.

I love Margarito's heart and style but we don't know what the time off did to him, we will see in his next fight that isn't easy by any means.

Angulo is raw yes but he has good fundamentals. I would just like more head movement and parrying from him. He get's too used to standing there and absorbing punches at times.

na man, cotto outboxes him the same way he did 2 margarito for the first 6-7 rounds. hes a cheap version of tony, so id have 2 disagree with you my brother.

You make some good points but Cotto's boxing is so far superior to Angulo it would be interesting.

I think people underestimate how hard Angulo throws punches, every interview I have seen with his sparring partners (Margarito and Rashad Halloway) they say his punches hurt.

I still think Cotto wins but would have to box very well for 12 rounds because Angulo comes in tip top shape and is hard to hurt.

              .
Where ya getting this Cotto cant fight backwards crap? He's an above average counter puncher and has shown he can fight going back..vs mosley, judah and rito...Angulo isnt skilled or strong enough to break Cotto down...

other then the plaster in the wraps, tony has been a good fighter for boxing. puts on a good show and comes 2 fight every time. cant ask for more. well thats cool my dude, glad 2 see some mexicans atleast question his career. my man el 7 de mares doesnt agree with us but every1 has their own opinion, hes a cool dude even though he sides with margarito. angulo is raw but yeah he has good skills. short, crisp punches with good power but no head movement like u said. most of the time hes 2 busy chasin guys down 2 think about movin his head. lol

cotto fought great going backwards vs margarito during the first half of the fight. i think he fights better going foward ofcourse like most fighters but he still is effective goin backwards.

I'd like to see both fights actually. it would be interesting to see how cotto responds to a fighter similar to margo in angulo. i think angulo is enough of a beast to beat him. cotto hasn't been the same fighter he used to be, and any outcome imo would hinge on what manny steward does with him.

angulo vs margarito could be an incredible action packed fight. i think angulo takes him out.

                    • angulo/margarito would be an all out war. I'd pay to watch that.

I doubt arum will put cotto in with angulo
