If Floyd beats Mosley, is it better than Pacquiao's win over Cotto?

Well can you say the same thing about Cotto, can't you?

Depends on how he beats him, if its a beating like Pac gave Cotto, then yes, a shutout, then yes as well, anything less, then no.

Then Pac didn't do anything special in beating Cotto since Margarito already did it. And, Marg destroyed him while Shane destroyed Margarito

That is a very good point. And, very true...

It all depends on how he wins...

A roided up Floyd would beat Shane like that. I can still see Floyd stopping Shane though.

Neither was Cotto. And when was the last time Cotto looked good or dominating?

And Hopkins beat Jones jr straight up. But who's better now? Boxing is about timing. Not just "this guy beat this guy". There's more to it than that.

I think that's a fair statement and probably the best way to look at it..

                    The way I see it...

Mosley vs Mayorga = Cotto vs Clottey
Mosley vs Margo > Cotto vs Jennings

And on top of that, Mosley dominated the guy who Cotto got KO'ed by. If Mosley had fought Berto, he would have knocked him out and then he'd have an even bigger case over Cotto. I really wish he would have been able to secure a fight.

So based on accomplishments in the last few years, Mosley without a doubt. And based on who is the better fighter as of now, Mosley without a doubt. I'd pick Mosley to stop Cotto late if they fought again. However if Mayweather barely beats him, I'll say Pac's win is better because he DESTROYED Cotto after the midpoint of round 4.

I guess I still value Cotto greater than most of you guys. We can go round and round all day. I do agree it's the nature of the win that should matter.
