If Floyd beats Mosley, is it better than Pacquiao's win over Cotto?

I agree, floyd couldn't even scratch a face castillo who made him run to his own dear life for 12 rounds.

Cotto lost to Margarito and he was was not the same fighter once he got beaten by a guy who used plaster in his gloves, I felt Clottey beat him too in a very close fight.

The Mosley that will face Floyd > The Cotto that faced Pacquiao in terms of ranking, resume, momentum and the fighter itself. Most people felt Cotto was done after the Margarito fight, but Shane looked very good in demolishing Margarito.
according to who? not the ring and i dont think anyone actually believes mosley is a better fighter than pac right now. just take a look at the odds for one. may is -450 against mosley and even money against pac. most people felt mosley was done years ago and then he fights a guy who stands right in front of him and lets him unload free power shots and he's back? hardly.

Yes I think so. Mosley is coming off a big win while Cotto was coming off a very close win against Clottey and his body and face recieved a real beating. So yes Mayweather beating Mosley will be quite the accolade for Mayweather.

ok,dude who should floyd have fought that is deemed just as big of a threat as shane???

by the way they have to also be ranked 1 or 2 in his division and a top 10 p4p and don't name pac since that fight was called off

yes, and by a mile, here are some facts

1.Shane Coming off a impressive tko victory and career defining win, against the man who beat cotto

              2. there is no limit for the welterweight limit, they can come in at 141-147, which cotto who could barely make 147 had to size down to 145

              3. there is no overnight rehydration limit which cotto and de la zombie for ""$""ome ****** reason agreed to.

i could go on but i got sum things to do

Those are not facts, at all... That is the opposite of fact...

Do you know the definition of fact?

The Cotto win is stained with:
1). Not a WW fight, asking Cotto to fight at 142 was a rather pansy thing to do...
2). Margarito has stolen Cotto's mojo with his magic(cough cough)hand wraps.

If Floyd beats Shane than his win is stained with:
1). Mosley is old as dirt...
                  2). Mosley is seriously old.

In all honesty I think that the Mosley Floyd's fighting is better than the Cotto Pacquaio's fought but what does it matter? In the grand scheme of things neither fighter will be remembered as being as good as what their rabid fans hope they will unless they fight each other so nitpicking over who has the best win at 147 is silly.

I give them comparable credit. Mosley has been in decline for a few years and his career/rankings were only revitalized due to Marg win and this fight should have happened years ago.

Cotto, although a catchweight, was Pac's first true test @ WW. Battle worn or not, there was alot more uncertanty with Pac taking on Cotto than Shane's "puncher's chance"

No matter what though, we all have to see him win before he gets credit.

Anybody who cant see both sides have a valid argument are idiots. Cotto beat Mosley, Mosley beat the guy who beat Cotto, Cotto was damaged from Margo, Mosley is 38 and on and on.
