He wanted to hurt Holyfield....but if he continued fighting it would be he who got hurt. He wanted to hurt Holyfield but he didn't want to keep fighting.

Did he get frustrated too easily? - Yes. Was he feebleminded and incapable of adjusting to an opponent's tactics? - Yes. But until his last 2 fights he wasn't a quitter.
Not supported by evidence? Could he have gotten up against Lewis, Douglas, or Holy I???? He just stayed down in each instance. He was not out.

It is his feeblemindedness that CAUSED him to try to find a way out. If Tyson cannot BULLY his opponent then he DOESN'T WANT TO FIGHT. This has always been his MO.

But he didnt so hes around the Top 10 somewhere.

Thats not what I said. Tyson complained that Holyfield butted him and blood spurted from his eye after the butt. Holyfield denied it, who are you gonna believe. I wasnt talking about the other cut but the one that caused Tysons over reaction. Mills lane after the first bite told Tyson "If you do that one more time I will DQ you" so Tyson did it again. There is never any excuse for biting.

Against Lewis he took countless huge shots before finally going down.

I don't see how you call any of that "quitting". In fact, Shane Mosley's efforts against Winky or Vernon (in his first bouts with them) looked a lot more like "quitting" to me.
"Thats how desperately he wanted to beat him?"

If you get butted you butt back when the ref cant see, you dont spit out your mouth gaurd and bite his ear and when the ref says "If you do that again I will DQ you" and then bite him again! That is a fighter desperately looking for a way out.
