If leBron james says that he is the best basketball player in the world, is he "dissing" Kobe or Jordan or whoever?

And , you guys may not know this, but Joe DiMaggio (after he retired0 INSISTED on being introduced as "The Greatest Living Ballplayer". ALWAYS.

And this is with Willie Mays, Mickey mantle and Hank AAron still breathing sweet air.

NOBODY ever questioned that. But let Floyd say it, and it's controversial.

    Odd.

But Floyd is more skilled than Ali. Scratch that. Floyd is much more skilled than Ali.
      Skill-wise....

Floyd has much better fundamental and advanced defense than Ali. in almost every facet.

Floyd throws a much greater variety of punches than Ali.
Floyd goes to the body better than Ali.
Floyd's left hook is better than Ali's.
Floyd is a better in-fighter than Ali.

I don't know if this is a stylistic or technical flaw but Pacquiao does that funny thing with his trunks. It's like his trunks are falling down and he's trying to pick them up.

Why are you acting like Ali was not questioned at the time?

They even had a computerized fight at the time and Marciano beat him... You had a lot of people calling him big mouth and disrespectful to Joe Louis at the time...

Don't pretend like Floyd get all this hate and every single other fighter got a past. I think you're pretty knowledgeable and I think you know about the history. So I think you do know during Ali time when he was saying he was getting bashed... So lets not act like Ali got a past and while Floyd gets hated cuz that is bull****... I hate when Floyd fans try to play Floyd as the victim and that there is this huge double standard with him... Which is bull****...

And, people starting coming to the fact of Ali greatness because, he fought all the elite fighters in his weight-class... During two different eras... I mean he fought everybody. He started earning his right to be making such claims. While Floyd for the past 6 years has not fought elite of his weight-class until now...

He's said plenty of times that Sugar Ray was his idol and the Sugar is p4p #1 of all time.

            Hardly disrespecting him.

Wouldn't say he throws a much greater variety.
Rest is all obviously correct, Ali was extremely flawed technically, relied on his physical gifts mostly.

Can't really see why anyone is arguing against this

                I said "so called"

I couldn't care less if Cintron called himself the greatest, real talk.

He did disrespect, Louis, Marciano, Baer etc etc... But, never SRR...

He never disrespected Marciano, if anything he's said he looked up to Marciano.

But, he always said he could beat Marciano, that Rocky was too slow for him. Some people take that as disrespect and that is why I mentioned it as such...
