It also seems that ever since Green had that situation with his colen, he always looks at his feet, every 5 seconds or so.Comment

(Yesterday I was talking about Martinez's flaws; so perfect timing for this thread)
Sergio Martinez
Too much wasted motion. Doesn't really preserve his stamina too well. I remember watching Joel Casamayor vs. Vargas on ESPN classic and I said to myself, Joel is much more skilled then Martiez. It's surprising because Martinez is the much better athlete. Although I see very very few beating Martinez at 154/160, Sergio has alot of improving to do. A real skilled boxer can get away with doing things at the very minimal. Watching Martinez, I get that he's being forced to move all over the ring and I know it isn't me. Joel is a master at making his opponents come to him, Martinez isn't that.
Floyd Mayweather
Had this been before Marquez, I would have been very quick to point out his jab. It's thanks to Floyd Sr. it's back. So I'm gonna go with his uppercut. I don't know if anyone has noticed this but I've seen him lead with the uppercut and miss. He doesn't miss miserably but he has a hard time landing it. It's funny because I've seen very few boxers actually lead with an uppercut. Floyd rarely does it so I'm very quick to notice. I do LOVE watching him drain his opponent's stamina away with those short right uppercuts to the body though. He can also up his activity a bit.
Miguel Cotto
Doesn't throw to the mid section. When Pacquiao invited Cotto in as he layed against the ropes, Cotto continued to attack Pacquiao's sides. I don't know about anyone else but that angered me. Pacquiao's elbows were well tucked in but there was this HUGE gap in between, Pacquiao was open down the middle and it was very noticeable. I was reminded of how Mayweather stopped Mitchell with a lead straight right hand to the mid section or when he dropped Bruseles with it. When you hit as hard as Cotto and miss out on such an opportunity; it's frustrating to watch. He also needs to improve on the straight right hand, it's not so accurate against moving targets. Notice how many times he turned southpaw against Quintana?Last edited by Doctor_Tenma; 04-24-2010, 01:50 PM.Comment
