    Dominicano,

I was noticing that people were upset at Floyd saying that he is 'better' than Ali. I won't dispute "better' with anyone. That is subjective and the amalgam of many, many factors.

But Floyd is more skilled than Ali. Scratch that. Floyd is much more skilled than Ali.

I don't even know why they get mad at that. When Ali called himself the greatest, wasn't he "so called" disrespecting Suger Ray Robinson, I don't see the difference here. He is more skilled though

There is little to no power in Guzman's straight right hand. He has to loop it. I used to be like that, I couldn't generate much power from throwing a straight right, but I've fixed that.

The thing there he lunges in with his straight left is the same thing Hagler did (he admitted using it as a tactic during an interview) you jab too far out so it seems like your out of range and you can't hit your opponent and then you lunge in when they expect you can't be hit.

about shane not turning his punches over.. i recall floyd saying that while doing the pads with roger in 24/7 he said fighters dont turn thier punches.. so this tells me floyds been watching tapes of mosley. and uhm

floyds :lack of combination punching and activity

joan guzman: over looping right hand. and wide punches.

shane mosley's: wide punching and pawing jab.

pacquiao:lunges with his punches and if you do that vs a boxer type he will catch you off balance happens to me all the time when i face boxer types. i catch them when i lunge but then he catches me when im off balance.

dirrell - leans straight back. he gets away with it bcuz of his speed, agility and height but if a smart fighter would feint and time him before he throws dirrell is open to get hit clean often with his chin in the air.

froch - drops his hands yet doesnt move his head. he tries to control distance but isnt effective with it bcuz of his slow feet so he just leans straight back instead, open to get tagged.

cotto - squares up and gets flat footed often making himself a huge target, tries to make himself smaller by getting down but bends at the waist instead of the knees leaving himself wife open for uppercuts.

clottey - flat footed, stands straight up, doesnt move his head at all.. a big ass target basicly, hes good at catching shots on the gloves and arms but since he puts all of his weight on the backfoot whenever he does so he takes away his ability to counter.

pacquiao - in addition to the footwork a small mistake he does is being predictable in one way. whenever he drops down and leans slightly forward/left he always throws a lead left cross, he basicly telegraphs it which a smart fighter would pick up on quick.

Not really, Ali said SRR was his idol. And, Ali never said he was greater than SRR. Ali always said that SRR was the greatest P4P fighter of all time... Pretty much calling SRR the G.O.A.T.

Yeah I seen the video to that. But he called himself the greatest and there were obviously other boxers rated higher all time.

Not to nitpick.. but some guys are starting to get to things that are stylistic, rather than technical.

I just took him meaning the greatest HW of all time, not the greatest fighter of all time. That is why he took shots on Joe Louis and other HW before him.... Except for Gene Tunney, he showed respect for Tunney...

He did disrespect, Louis, Marciano, Baer etc etc... But, never SRR...
