Now matter how you spin it makes no sense to fight Kolle. Because, he could of had his stay busy fight with Jennings and kill two birds with one stone...
AAll that sounds good but at the end of the day his goal is to get WW's like Cotto, Berto, Floyd, Mosley, Cintron, whoever to sign contracts. That **** was never going to happen.

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda my dude. Koelle, Quintana and Pavlik are most likely all irrelevant in 2010. Williams is a Top 10 fighter still alive and kicking.

He wanted BIG fights at WW. That wasnt going to happen and beating Jennings wasnt the key to getting Cotto or Floyd to sign a contract.

We all though that would happen when he beat Margarito. Instead a hot WW at time. Cintron ran scared. And the rest is history........

Why would Cotto, Berto, Floyd , Mosley, fight Williams if he didn't have a title? If he wanted the big fights at WW should he just kept his title to at least have some kind of a chance to get that big fight? Because, without a title he has ZERO chance to get it.

And, to be honest he should of rematch Margarito at the time instead of going for Cintron... Now at the time it was a good move... But, now looking back he should of rematched Margarito instead... Because, Margarito wanted that rematch at that time...

And, like I said looking back he should of fought Pavlik, When Kelly was undefeated and looking like a beast.... He would of gotten the glory that Hopkins got...

That is really a horrible way to look at it... Is just a horrible point...

With that logic there was no point in Pac fighting Ledwaba because Ledwaba doesn't matter right now...

Ask yourself in 2010 as of April 23rd.

              Do they mattter?

              They dont bro.

              Lot of **** has changed.

Revisionists History is a horrible way to look at things. On that point maybe if Cintron doesnt pull out...he doesnt lose to Quintana.....he fights Marg again...never know what couldve happened.

But I know what has happened.

              Williams is a Top 10 P4P Pounder.

              Pavlik (maybe)
              Koelle
              Jennings
              Quintana
              Margarito

              Are not.

He really should of fought Pavlik instead of Kolle.

Fighting Kolle to me was a head scratcher. I just didn't get that move at all...
actually, jennings ducked williams and declined his mandatory shot against williams. Thats one of the reasons Skinny Pun just dropped his belt and moved up. Seriously, when your no-name mandos are ducking you, you might want to look in to other options. Which is what they did. BTW the next challenger in line after jennings was cotto, and cotto declined the offer to fight williams for the title as well. Hence why cotto and jennings ended up fighting each other when williams vacated.

I understand not trying to keep busy with Pavlik. But, to chose Kolle over Jennings? Unless Williams had trouble making 147 and didn't feel comfortable making it anymore. But, the Kolle fight was just absurd...
you're kidding, right? jennings aint a risk to any one. lol

                      Not true,

If Jennings was not pushing the mandatory. Williams would have not been stripped... Why would they strip him if the mandatoy is not pushing for the fight?
