He knocked out Quintana in the 1st round of their rematch, That's why a 3rd fight didnt happen. Also since that fight Quintana hasnt beaten anyone, Berto is the best opponent he fought since Williams and he lost badly.

It's like that in boxing sometimes though, I agree Quintana-Williams III might have been more interesting than Williams-Kolle or Williams-Phillips but sometimes it just doesnt come around.

Roy Jones should've had a 3rd fight with Montell Griffin too but that didnt happen. For simular circumstances to this I guess.

QUINTANA WANTED THE TRILOGY AND PAUL WILLIAMS DID NOT, GET OFF HIS NUTS BURNER.
Yes. Paul Williams ducked Quintana to pursue fights with Pavlik and Martinez.

      What a ducker.

Why couldn't he just keep busy with Quintana? He has such an easy time with Quintana in the rematch.

Or why couldn't he just have a keep busy fight with his mandatory Jennings? Or was Jennings too much of a risk to be a Keep busy fight?

I understand not trying to keep busy with Pavlik. But, to chose Kolle over Jennings? Unless Williams had trouble making 147 and didn't feel comfortable making it anymore. But, the Kolle fight was just absurd...

Did you just call Jennings a risk? Cmon man he wouldnt had seen Round 3.

Koelle and Jennings are basically the same fighter. They both arent good. There is no difference between them at all. They both suck bro. It was a stay busy man. You also missing the point that he was moving up in weight to middle for the first time in years. He wanted to see how hed look at 160. Whats wrong with that?

"WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams (34-1, 25 KOs) is looking to make good on his promise to fight anyone at any time. He was unable to find a solid opponent at welterweight and unable to come to terms for a fight with WBC/WBO middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik. Instead, he will still re-test the waters at middleweight by moving up to fight Andy Kolle (17-1, 12 KOs) in a ten-round middleweight contest on Sept. 25 at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California."

Wow I guess my Jennings argument just flew over your head...

So you saying after the Quintana fight. Williams was moving to 160 and basically done at 147?

Because, instead of defending his title against his mandatory who was a nobody and basically being able to keep that title longer. He chose to fight a nobody two weight-classes higher... That makes sense after Quintana he decided he was done with 147...

Kind of a joke. Williams destroys Quintana in 1 round and he's ducking him for not fighting him again. Could you imagine the threads we'd see here if he fought Quintana again.

                LOL @ against Kolle...

Anyways fighting Kolle was a bad business move instead of fighting his mandatory... I don't understand why you can't see it... And, if Williams decided to defend his title Jennings was willing to fight him... Again unless he decided he was done with 147 right after Quintana and was just having trouble making 147...

If you been following Paul Williams you should know that whether he had a belt or not none of the big wigs would fight him. That was obvious.

That title meant **** around Pauls waist thats why he dropped it. It did him no favors at all.

So he tried to Pavlik at 160 Pounds. Pav aint want it...so he took a STAY BUSY at that weight.

I would say this, Quintana at 147 would of been a tougher third fight then Kolle at 160...

And, business move he should defended his title against Jennings instead of fighting Kolle...

And, at the time it looked like a good move but looking at hindsight he should not have out priced himself out of the Pavlik and fought him... And, giving Pavlik his first lost instead of letting Pavlik fight Hopkins. But, again that is looking back. Because, at that time it seemed crazy for him to fight Pavlik...
