That title meant **** around Pauls waist thats why he dropped it. It did him no favors at all.

So he tried to Pavlik at 160 Pounds. Pav aint want it...so he took a STAY BUSY at that weight.

"WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams (34-1, 25 KOs) is looking to make good on his promise to fight anyone at any time. He was unable to find a solid opponent at welterweight and unable to come to terms for a fight with WBC/WBO middleweight champ Kelly Pavlik. Instead, he will still re-test the waters at middleweight by moving up to fight Andy Kolle (17-1, 12 KOs) in a ten-round middleweight contest on Sept. 25 at the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California."
Burner he could of cornered Cotto to fight for that title... Cotto wouldn't of have gotten that title for free... If you don't understand that was not a smart business move then I don't know what to tell you... And, matter of fact P-Will would of still been the WW WBO champ right now as we speak. With him making a run to be a 3 division champ at the same time... But, again it makes sense for him to fight Kolle instead of Jennings because he had trouble making wieght and was just done with 147...

And. I guess you haven't been following Williams career long enough. Because, at the time Arum and Pavlik was on board to fight P-Will. Arum first choice was Rubio that got turned down by HBO, and then they tried to get Green but G. Leon ****ed that up, then they tried to get Williams and it was Williams who outpriced himself out. And, then they went for Hopkins. And, Arum did NOT want Hopkins...

And, business move he should defended his title against Jennings instead of fighting Kolle...

And, at the time it looked like a good move but looking at hindsight he should not have out priced himself out of the Pavlik and fought him... And, giving Pavlik his first lost instead of letting Pavlik fight Hopkins. But, again that is looking back. Because, at that time it seemed crazy for him to fight Pavlik...
You missing the point. Goosen has several times that Williams demolition of Quintana scared the WW's even more. No point in doing it again. Williams was trying to move on to bigger and better things.

How is a good move to fight Jennings? How was a god move to stay at 147 at all? When it was CLEAR that the guys you wanted to fight were scared ****less of him?

Jennings is a BUM at 147.

Koelle is a BUM at 160.

He wanted Pavlik AT 160. So he took a stay busy AT 160.

        Makes perfect sense.

There's no way i would i want to see Williams vs Quintana III after what Paul Williams did to him in the second fight. Was Roy ducking Griffin too after their second fight where he demolished him? Lets be honest man nobody in their right minds wanted Williams vs Quintana III everyone wants a Williams vs Martinez 2. I don't think Martinez is "ducking" Williams by fighting Margorito but that is sure a hell of a lot easier fight since Margorito just got his ass handed to him and we don't know what he has left not to mention we don't know how he is without his precious plasters.

I dont buy that. I read COUNTLESS article from Williams calling out Cotto. Cotto and Arum pretended the guy didnt exist.

I been following his career since he was fighting Bums in Cali and my boy told me about him. That was about 5 years ago.

Like really who gives a ****? Its 2010 Williams career is fine.

Burner does it turn you on to mercilessly defend Paul Williams on the internet?

You take it over the ****ing top.

              I mean it's pathetic.

You'll never even meet him in real life or have met him.

Get off that ugly mother****ers nuts and stop posting so damm much.

You're on NSB defending Paul and Floyd 24/7.

              It's pathetic.

Yeah like what kind of dumb ass logic is that. He ducked Quintana after arguably ruining the dude. Quintana aint been the same since that fight.

Fighting Jennings>Kolle is common sense... Because, he would of kept his belt...After Jennings he could of fought at 154 and 160 and still keep his WBO WW belt... And, anybody who wanted belt would have to go through him. If Cotto, Pac, or Clottey wanted the WBO would of had to beat him... Is that simple...

Now matter how you spin it makes no sense to fight Kolle. Because, he could of had his stay busy fight with Jennings and kill two birds with one stone...

Bull****, Cotto never ducked him... Who did he duck him for? Shane Mosley? Are we serious here...

Williams career might be fine now but it could of been better. He ****ed up out pricing himself and letting Pavlik fight Hopkins and by letting Cotto and Pacquiao get a belt that he should be having right now...

As a Paul Williams fan you should see how ****** that move was...
