I can't stand Mayweather but I dont blame him for not paying sanctioning fees for this fight. It isn't like he worked his way thru the ranks to get a title shot against Shane. Why pay money out of his purse for a belt he doesnt intend on ever defending?

trophy and money prize should go together. Fees are part of expenses after winning 4o million, that's chicken feed to them. That is one way of trashing the sport if only money is the motivation. As i said fight to death and winner takes all they can make more money that way.

you keep saying money floyd sayz legacy and of course money plays a role in all of this for all fighters. If it didnt we wouldnt have debates by fighters over purse splits. And if fighters claim they are not motivated by money, then ask them to donate all of the purse money to the less fortunate and see how many of them go for it.
