I believe Shane believes he can beat Floyd, and I agree with him. The fight is a toss up in my opinion, but if I had to choose I'd pick Floyd. It's hard to bet against the 0.

Will he be able to carry that unshakable confidence into the ring (and more importantly into the championship rounds.......)?
He's proven he could in the past, can't see why I'd balk at thinking he couldn't now being he's still on top of his game.

I'm picking Floyd to win, but not by a wide margin like many people think.

I think shane is confident. What with ****m and his studying of mayweather. He is a very humble guy, but i think he is also confident. Might not be enough though.

From the videos you've seen (24/7 and others...) in your opinion does Sugar Shane Mosley appear to be:

                a) A deer in the headlights.... out of his element.... unsure in anyway about his chances.... (ie. he's acting confident about defeating Floyd, but deep down he's just not sure and you can see the concern in his eyes)

                OR

                b) eerily confident.... unphased at the trash talk.... uneffected by the PED comments.... calm and collected like he knows something that floyd doesn't....

put him up to a lie detector test and ask him if he is going to knock him out, or even win. he wouldnt pass. but i dont think he cant land a few flush shots and get him out if floyd makes a mistake

Kind of like the Winky fights when Shane was in the corner with his head down.
An interesting take... but consider this

I decided to review and score the Mayweather v DLH fight last night for myself. Oscar is a slick boxer with a good jab and decent speed (comparative to Shane less the jab) I turned off the sound so I would not be influenced by announcers or fans. I fast forwarded through the CompuBox punch stats so as to not second guess my scoring after each round.

I scored the fight 115-113 for Mayweather (same as Jerry Roth) with Oscar being ahead after 8 rounds (5-3 for pressing the fight and pushing the attack...) After the 8th Oscar went away from the jab and I had Floyd winning the 9th 10th 11th and 12th rounds.

If you have Oscar winning even half of the final 4rounds then you end up with 113-115 for Oscar (same as Tommy Kazmarek). Mayweather was completely confused when the first score announced was for DLH (but the truth is it was Floyds fault for not being more active in the first 8 rounds)

When you give up so many early rounds you create a dangerous scenario. You give the judges permission to give rounds to an active fighter that isn't necessarily scoring clean punches.

If Mosley has an active boxers game plan and sticks to it (not jumping in and trying to rough up Floyd) AND if his conditioning doesn't fail him in the championship rounds..... I believe Floyd will cry foul like you've never heard before (for dominating the CompuBox stats.... but losing the fight for not being active enough in the early rounds). On May 1, sustained effective aggression without abandoning defense may be enough for Mosley to catch lightning in a bottle.

And as a Mayweather fan.... I don't think it would be a bad thing for Floyd!!

Floyd will be in for a Dog fight. Shane knows how to close the show.

So yes I'm a Floyd Fan. I think Shane is Very Confident. The mind games aren't getting to him as much as Floyd would hope, at most its highly annoying Shane.

I have Mayweather surprising Mosley with his power.

I think Mayweather is stronger than Miguel Cotto btw.

Very well put.... your saying he can lie to the camera but he cant lie to himself...

If what you say is true... he has no chance.

He will need to bring 100% of his fight game, 100% of his conditioning, 100% of his will, and 100% of his confidence if he wants to taste victory on May 1st (because a 90% confident Shane will not get it done!!)
