Some people in here act like they are from another planet.

Valero was once a kid. He was once a baby. He has family , he was a father and a husband , he was a son , maybe an uncle , and who knows how he really was when he wasnt disturbed.

Valero to some of you will prob fade away in ur memory , but I'll tell u one thing , from my point of view , And im not saying in any ways what he did was right. But you can tell the guy had issues. Who knows what the guy went thru. Who knows if he had a good childhood also , but he suffered from an illness that once he was a grown man , had already taken over and was just destroying his judgement , WHO THE **** KNOWS!!!!! I from experience can tell u what living with a relative with a chemical brain unbalance is. My dad is a vietnam veteran and he wasnt always histerical and bi-polar , he know gets treatment and a pension. And times are rough and good. Sometimes he wakes up and thanks god for everything , and sometimes he wakes up and curses at everyone.

WHO KNOWS WHAT VALERO HAD GONE THRU OR WHAT HIS TOUGHTS WERE.

Maybe he was just a douchebag. But I believe it goes deeper than just an idiot. The least I ca do is show respect for the tragedy. 2 families in Venezuela are suffering right now , and all some of u can think of is how YOU will remember him. How will his family remember him and his country.

There were dark secrets. We know he suffered from alcoholism. And who else knows if there was something else.

Is enough already , Valeros whole story is a sad tragedy. He prob wanted to get better but it was too late and something just pushed him over the limit before getting help.

All these name calling ( murdered , idiot , maniac ) just shows the kind of woman-like minds always categorizing and stereotyping that some of u guys have.

It was some sad news and let it be. U guys have no idea what kind of stuff People in 3rd world countries go thru. He was prob always sick and his family couldnt afford a treatment or some.

Show the guy some respect , he obviously had problems tat went deeper than alcoholism and let him rest in peace. Put ur self in his position and in his family's position.

Valero doesn't belong in the same sentence as Sanchez in terms of boxing legacy.

A violent drug addict that caused fear and pain for his family before murdering his wife and cowardly taking his own life.

of course not. But edwin valero's death & story is more tragic than salvador sanchez in my opinion. At least sanchez greatness was somewhat realized. He has 4 wins vs 3 hall of famers & had over 40 fights. Valero obviously had potential but never had a chance to go up against a great fighter & ended killing himself, his wife, & leaving behind 2 kids under the age of 10.
