I'll remember him as a fighter who had great potiental.

And he showed he was more than just a slugger when he fought DeMarco. I thought to myself, maybe a better trainer to smooth out tweak some things in him and he'll be very difficult to beat. I was very anxious to see what he would have done at 140+. Could have been a great fighter.

Of course I don't support what he did to his wife at all. Now only did he commit murder, he killed himself basically leaving his kids alone, without any of their parents at all. A true man doesn't abandon his kids, but that was his business and we don't really know whats been going on through his mind and his family. We shouldn't judge or even comment like we have any idea. We just read reports, and assume - we should stop that bull**** around here.

RIP to his wife, and his Valero. I hope your kids come out of this okay.

Ill tell my kids like my dad told me about fighters like Tony Ayala Jr and Salvador Sanchez.....

Really good fighters who could have been great, showed glimpses of greaness but were never able to achieve what they were capable of due to their own lack of discipline and self control.....

That was before he sparred with him at the Wild Card gym.

After, he said, "I will never call Valero just a nobody again". That sparring session with Valero, after Pacquiao's bday party, earned him a lot of respect from Roach and Pacquiao.

              He's a wasted talent.

i was thinking the same thing. Salvador Sanchez was a humble guy from what i read because thats one of my grandpas All Time Favs. and everything i read he was a very bright guy who wanted to become a doctor and help kids in mexico. but he just was in an unfortunate accident in a fast car. Plus he already showed he was great by having an ATG resume by the time he passed and he was SO young.

Valero on the other hand was out of control. Beat his wife and others and was above the law in his country. He was a Powerful fighter with one punch KO power who was underrated with his boxing skills but just didn't have the right head on his shoulders.
so they are nothing alike personality wise. they both didn't reach there full potential but Sanchez is an ATG and Valero will be forgotten in 10 years.

I don't mean it as if he was as bad as the other two, but he contributed to his own death.....

I say his name because like the other two he contributed to his demise....

I'l never forget Valero because it was Love at first sight the first time i ever saw him fight and THAT will be how i remember him. As a balls to the wall puncher with what on paper looks like an Incredible record.

I wish these past couple days never happened but if this tragic display can help just one future kid from crossing that line into a world of drugs and alcohol then maybe his talent and potential wasnt a total waste.

I hope his Wife can finally Rest in Peace and I hope his 2 children can someday recover from all of this
