Paul Williams is a world champion in waiting across three divisions. Great style, speed, volume of punches and action. Thing is a fighter like Paul, any top fighter in fact, needs a story line, and the rivalry with Martinez is the making of Williams as a stayer in the elite levels for years to come. He has the potential to have a similar career spread to Pacquiao and go all the way to light-heavyweight. I can't imagine any of the current welterweight stars having a bar of him.

i actually prefer USA fans because of that........look at the patriotism of Phillipino Pac fans and some of the UK fans towards their fighters.....its pathological....it's blinds all ability to reason........

Cotto- In his last 4 fights hes 2-2.Got destroyed by Margarito. Beat Jennings who is a bum. Damn near lost to an average Clottey. Then got ass ****d by Pacquiao.

Jennings is local to me and I can assure you he's no bum - that he went 5 rounds when way overmatched with Cotto is testament to that . . . his performance was negative at points, but he showed some skills, he's just a bit short of what it takes to really be competetive on that world-class level. He was slated to fight a mutual favorite of ours, Kell Brook, last Fall, until illness forced Kell out of the matchup.


Not saying he's a name for Cotto to shout about, so it doesn't alter your point any. Just doing justice to one of the more skillful UK domestic scene guys, as "bum" really doesn't.

Paul Williams is a world class fighter and deserves respect,but burner,are you really expecting respect for fighters in NSB? I have seen you disrespect many fighters on this forum,so for you to turn around and start complaining about people dissing a fighter you champion so dearly is a bit rich.
