On what basis? A decision in his favour that wasnt deserved? Give us your thoughts on Calz v Hopkins again! Martinez won that fight clearly.

To be honest Burner you dont do him or his popularity any favours.

When it comes to respect, Martinez should be in the top 10 P4P most definitely. If Paul dominates tonight, then Paul deserves to be in there as well.

Martinez is moving up to fight the toughest guys while Paul has been fighting at weights where he is like a giant to other guys. Paul needs to be at 160 and 168 to be a legit contender, not at 147 and 154.

That's **** dude. There's nobody for him to fight at 168 besides Bute. And nobody at 160 that HBO would pay for either besides Martinez. He has every right to fight at 147-154 if that's where the better fighters fight.

Did you really just say a guy who weighed in at 152 Pounds for a 154 Pound fight should be at 168?

              Lets be real bro.

I have to put Martinez ahead of Paul Williams because their fight was so very, very close it could have gone either way. At the time, I remember feeling Paul did enough to skate by, but easily saw how Martinez could have won.

That said, you can't take capturing the 160 lb. title too lightly, even in Pavlik isn't the most solid champion in history- so until a rematch Martinez gets the nod over Paul.

I guess it's hard to argue putting Cotto ahead of Paul after his loss:

And based not just on how he's looked but who he's fought his last few fights, I can't argue putting Hopkins ahead of Williams, either.

I know for sure Manny, Floyd and I'll keep Shane there depending on Paul's performance tonight.

If I'm going to just give props based on what I perceive as skill and fighting decent opposition I have to seriously consider where I put Dawson, too. At least for now; I know he has his doubters.

Realistically, Paul could probably slide up behind Floyd and Manny if he wins huge tonight- but Martinez just became the man at 160, so I have to put him up there, too. Especially with how close his fight with Williams was. Anything less than a stellar performance tonight and I think Paul losses his spot to Dawson depending on how he looks against Pascal.

                For me, at least.

Almost every publication has Paul Top 3-5.

Yeah. Top 5 works for me. Top 3, as of right now, is a stretch.

I was also at that fight in Vegas and it seemed like Paul never stopped punching. I have all the respect in the world for Paul Williams b/c the man never seems to fight at the same weight and goes wherever the best fight is. He's KO'D men at welterweight, jr MW, and Middleweight. Paul's biggest mistake was not taking the money being offered to fight Pavlik. I know it wasn't right but now look at Martinez, but at least Martinez is a real warrior and is willing to face Paul again.
