I'm sure HBO, wo Areolla fights for would have stumped a lot to watch Areolla fight Tua in a bingo hall on christmas island or wherever Tua lives. It was a ****** deal.

barrett should not be in boxing. he is shot to bits and someone needs to protect him from further damage.

I agree, his management shouldn't let him do this against Tua after some recent bad ko losses and this does nothing really for Tua.

Barrett really needs to give it up. If he's going to get beaten up for paycheques can't he at least go for 120-108 losses to weaker punchers? Getting your head smashed in constantly by KO punchers can't be good for you.

This is disappointing. Tua should have never signed that ****** contract with Maori TV, i think his handlers were trying some PC crap that has backfired big time. The only thing worth noting is the fact this guy has been beaten by Haye and will provide a very loose measuring stick to judge where Tua is at. Haye TKO'd him in 5. Im looking for Tua to do it in 1 or 2.

lol.. poor monte, even hes gotta know not only does he have no chance of winning that fight but hes getting knocked the hell out in violent fashion. it would be one thing if he was fighting an up and comer or something but this is just pointless, tua gets nothing out of it.

Barrett is literally a punching bag at this point: what Tua gets out of it is to try and hospitalize Monte in a fashion that makes Haye's effort against Barrett look weak. Tua won't feel sorry for Barrett, even if we do.

i dont think maori tv is giving Tua's opponents more than $15,000 for the fights. it's hard to find a qualified fighter willing to step into the ring for that amount.
barrett is most likely the biggest name they can get for the money,sorry to say.

tua vs arreola would be a great fight but for either guy it's a huge risk for their title hopes.too bad because man would this be good.the fight makes sense for the fans but doesn't make sense for the boxers & promoters.a loss could be crippling for either....it's a buisness more than a sport.neither is ducking each other.
