Even compared to his last fight against Friday, it is somewhat of a backwards step. However, we can't blame Tua for fighting those guys, and surely he will step it up and fight better opposition when that damn deal is over.

It will be a very short night of work for Tua. Won't go passed 4, and there is a high probability Barrett doesn't see the second round.

It is not. The Cameron fight was PPV and the free-to-air three fight deal began AFTER it which means there's TWO fights left.

“Maori Television did put a complementary free-to-air proposal to Duco that would have enabled the Tua v Cameron bout to be broadcast free-to-air for all New Zealanders,” Mr Mather says. “Unfortunately, Duco was unable to make that free-to-air option work.

“After the Fight of the Century, however, Maori Television will be the exclusive New Zealand television broadcaster for David Tua’s next three fights as he continues his quest to win a world heavyweight championship title. We look forward to allowing all New Zealanders the opportunity to see David Tua fight at the highest level, and possibly for a world title, free for all.”

That's what is said on the Maori TV website.

Why do people still care about Tua? He hasn't had a meaningful win in years and has repeatedly ducked Arreola.

barrett should not be in boxing. he is shot to bits and someone needs to protect him from further damage.

Tua by brutal, brain-crushing KO. Poor Barrett isn't even going to be able to tie his shoes when he's done boxing.

I agree: and Tua is still a very powerful man. Barrett is nothing more than a punching bag at this point and David might do some permanent damage to him.
