who is the best commentator in your opinion?

Atlas keeps using metaphors all the time, its ok once or twice but common 20 times during a fight? And Lewis always wants to get some spotlight himself: "remember when I was", "Remember what I did" .. its annoying

I'll have to go with Lampley. he is entertaining and he keeps it real. Merchant a close second and then a tie between Kellerman and Steward

Al Bernstein is THE MAN!!.....Larry Merchant rode Kelly's private part too much Saturday night and fell off IMO.....Max Kellerman is the BEST HBO has to offer.....Teddy Atlas does a good job on ESPN.....would like to hear him call some MAJOR fights tho'.....all in all Al B. is the dude!!

Manny Steward, i didnt mind roy jones' job in the gatti vs mayweather fight either but i dont recall hearing him commentate any other time

I hate the rest, pretty much. Although Lampley can be good sometimes (but he can also be a complete charlie aswell) and its good to have someone like Emanuel Steward on HBO. Merchant is just so negative, and he talks like he was the P4P GOAT. He loves to ***** about anything and everything. I dont like him

I can't stand Larry Merchant's ass either so negitive, he's a blood and guts type of guy. He loves that brain damage 4 sho.

i like what larry merchant says, i just dont like the fact it takes him so long to get to his point, he pauses to long between sentences and makes some ****** comparisons.

The late great Harry Carpenter was the voice of boxing for me, as he was the man as i was growing up that was always on the TV, every bruno fight pretty much had "ARRY" in there somewhere, this guy would study everything about the fighters he was commentating on and would provide you with information that you would not know yourself, he was a real student of boxing, and who can forget when Bruno hit Tyson with that left hook in the 1st fight in the 1st round " GO ON FRANK GET HIM!!" LOL Priceless

i think Lamply does a good job, his knowledge can be sometimes questionable but he can hype a fight while its in action with his " ****....YOU WANNA HIT ME....**** **** ****...YOU WANNA HIT ME NOW....****!" OR HIS "****!" AS LEWIS HIT RAHMAN.

Teddy Atlas is a boxing brain, but i cannot stand this guy, he says such irrelevent crap at times or things that are just plain dumb

Manny Steward is the best expert if you ask me, rarely does he get it wrong, does not stray from the subject matter and is always informative on the fighters strengths and weakness`s in the fight.

Joe Tessitore is right up there in my book as so is Al Bernstien

Max Kellerman........i just cannot watch this guy, he`s such a *****, that ****** forced smile, those ****** wide eyes.....he should have stayed in hiphop then id have never laid eyes on him.

Roy jones, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, and Antonio Tarver are just fillers if you ask me, nothing great but just ther for the sake of having a former world champs insight.

LOL! That's why I like merchant.he can be such an ******* & hard to please.he's a straight shooter.he's that guy who you surprise him with lunch from mcdonalds(on your tab)& before he thanks you he bitches that you didn't supersize it...tessitore is good too.
