I never really connected the dots when I saw him in a sauna suit, underneath a large/thick blanket, with 3-4 heaters around him too. But now it makes sense.
Based upon what I've read, with around two weeks to go until the weigh in, he only had to lose around nine pounds. Supposedly he looks good and is sharp in training.

IIRC, he started training in January for this fight, because he was going to fight on April 30th even if it wasn't against Montiel, as Teiken had reserved that date for a doubleheader.

He's lost it over a long period.

Plus, Hasegawa has stated it's become difficult to make the limit for a while now. Hell, after his last fight, he even mentioned the possibility of going from Bantamweight right to Featherweight to face Chris John.

I was surprised he stayed, TBH.

He's been struggling since before Perez, I believe. I don't remember the exact time of the interview but it wasn't a real recent one. I don't mind seeing Hozumi go up in weight. I would like to see if he could pull it off, I hope he can and does.

Hey Shadows. Didn't Teiken promotions phase out? I tried going to their website months back and it said something about the website is closed and thanks for your support. Or something of that nature.

I've never heard anything like that, though I have seen that on their website. I check Koizumi's blog and some Japanese websites and never seen anything like that. That would probably even make news here on BS, as Teiken is big in Japan. They even co promote a lot of fighters, like Linares, Hasegawa, Uchiyama, and Gonzalez. I'm not sure if Gonzalez is exclusively with Teiken though.

I don't know how I'm going to watch this fight considering Japan's time difference. Anyone know when the fight'll be EST?
