There are things behind the scenes that we as mere "fans" are not privy to. I honestly think Floyd didn't make the "catch weight" to show Pac and Freddie that he will not be drained as ODH and Cotto. It was all for the negotiating table which fell through on some **** we ALL aint foresee.Floyd signed the contract for a catch weight and couldn't make it, what's the proper response for not coming in on the agreed upon weight, after making a lightweight hurdle two weight classes to meet you?
The actual proper response goes something like this..."THAT FIGHT WAS A ****ING JOKE"...something like that.

This is true. But Zab was not very far removed from world class. I remeber Jeff before Joe and Jeff was a beast before Calzage made him look foolish.

That's the million dollar question and the right question to ask. I'd like to see Floyd in against P Will and see how he solves that puzzle, it would be interesting. I think Sergio Martinez at 154 would be interesting, maybe Timothy Bradley. The man had options before, a lot of them and decided to retire instead so what does that tell you?
Cotto pre-margarito would have been a problem. P-Will with his lengthy intangibles would force Floyd to do something different, not saying they would win but I am saying we would be entertained and Floyd would earn respect for taking chances and not just respect from those in his community, but a larger broader appeal in the way SRL and Ali achieved before him.Comment

For longivity you walk not run.It was his second fight at welterweight (in the span of only one year) against a naturally bigger and ranked "welterweight". Cotto was still highly ranked and regarded, although admittedly damaged. I'll take names like Cotto/Clottey in my "first" year in a new weight division over names like Judah and Baldomir in the span of "five" years.

They are facts, in context a smaller man moved up in weight and in one year faced Cotto and Clottey. Another man has been a welterweight since 2005 and has faced neither, but he did fight his current sparring partner Baldomir so I guess that counts for something lol.Comment
