For me it's because Pac may have won titles in 7 div but he didn't face the toughest competition when he did. It seems like he never fights anyone who can outbox him. At 140lb's he beat a already exposed Hatton and at 147lbs an already cement destroyed Cotto. Why not Bradley at 140 and Mosley at 147? Both were calling out Pacman. Plus his last couple of opponents have been basically the same fighter, slow, flat-footed, weight drained zombies. Once you see it once it's no fun seeing it again and again. Anyway I hope they get something worked out for a PBF vs Pac fight.
Why do people think a slick boxer will beat Pacquiao?

Then the QUintana thing happened, where the Rican sticked and moved and boxed the Fro-hawk off his head. A fluke? Perhaps, he got the Ko. But then he goes in and faces a similar fighter in Martinez and is in the battle of his career.
Floyd is a better boxer than both Quintana & Martinez and can follow their blue print and beat him even better. As far as Floyd vs Winky, no comment.Comment

I mean what am I supposed to think when even Roach admits that ODLH was an easy win because he was weight drained?
Hatton and Cotto were already damaged goods that tried to rush back too early IMO.
Clottey was tailor made for Pacs style. Next up a plaster-less flat footed Margaritto?
Thanks, but I'll pass on watching that one.Comment

He has become so phenomenal that the standards have been raised in what he has to do to earn some "fans" respect.
3 years ago, you wouldn't even be thinking that he'd beat any of these welterweights, no matter what you think of them...whether they're B-level, weight drained, damaged good, flat-footed plaster-hands... whatever.
The fact is, lil Pacquiao looked like he was headed along the lines of MOrales, Barrera and the likes, and create a legacy in the Featherweight landscape. But he is soo much more than that now.
And that explains the Steroids theories, I.E. "no way he could've done all this naturally", from MalignaggieLast edited by cupocity303; 04-11-2010, 09:42 PM.Comment

Floyd Mayweather is the perfect, elusive, defensive, slick, counter puncher that can beat Pac.
When you watch Pac struggle in the first round of the Cotto fight due to Cotto jabbing and boxing him then you watch the JMM fight were Pac looked confused by JMM's counter punching its easy to see why we people think a slick fighter will beat him.
Also he hasnt shown us that he can beat a fighter who wont come right at him yet.Comment

I mean seriously some of you guys are just reaching. What even dumber is that you would make a comment like that when most of those bouts were dubbed as lineal bouts. You do know what lineal means and why a bout is declared that?Comment

See how good Pacquiao has gotten. This post is the perfect example.

What Floyd fight have you watched where hes done that?
I think you are mistaking him for the damaged Cotto Pac fought.Comment

Marquez wasn't quicker and didn't have better handspeed but gave Pac trouble...
Pac may unleash flurries but a defensive fighter will block some of these flurries...Pac doesn't knock guys out with one shot really, he breaks them down first...
If Pac fights someone who boxes and moves his output will definently drop and I think it will throw him off cuz he isn't used to having to find his opponents...and if the opponent is good at countering it'll spell more trouble...Comment

If so that's your opinion. I picked Pacman to destroy both those guys easily before the fights because I knew they were damaged goods. Anybody who is more than a casual fan knew both those guys were coming back to soon against a speedy brawler. I'm not overly awed at all by those wins. Let's see who Pac fights next though his career is far from over. If it's Margacheato I'm skipping that one. I wasted enough time on the Clottey fight.Comment
