Hopkins doesn't get enough credit for the Pavlik win.

Not for nothing but Pavlik is just not as good over 160. Some guys are like that. It showed against Taylor the second time and against Hops as well. He loses quite a bit of fluidity. Even Hops himself kept telling him after the fight, "you're a middleweight." And he's right.

Pavlik is a big guy? Pavlik is a tall guy, yes. A tall, lanky, skinny mother ****er.

Pavlik could easily fight at 168? Based on what? Based on a dream you had?

You're just a hater and an Internet wimp trying to discredit an incredible display.

knocked him out in 7 the time before? and the second fight was fairly close imo, wasn't specifically on about that fight anyway.

Good on Bhop for beating a young 26 year old but as usual with him weight issues are involved with pretty much all his big wins.

Can Hops fans just keep it real sometimes. Even the Floyd boys know JMM was a tun up and nothing more due to the weight.

He fought him 10 Pounds above where Pavlik was suppose to be. That plays a role in the fight.

He did the same to Winky.

Taylor added more movement in the second fight and that's why Pavlik had a harder time. Pavlik does not deal well with movement.

Almost everyone said Pavlik was going to knock him out and not only did Hopkins win, he battered Pavlik, entertained, his hand speed was blistering, he came in with the perfect game plan and carried it out.

That is possibly the best win of the last decade.

I repeat, the man was 43 years old, it was an incredible achievement.

Hopkins also made Pavlik move up two divisions to fight him, which is standard operating procedure for Nard. Pavlik looked slow and lethargic @ lightheavyweight. Made Hopkins look like a showboating Ali.

Anyways, even @ 43, Hopkins has shown that he can beat smaller fighters moving up like Pavlik and Winky, but fails consistently with equally sized, equally talented fighters.

Now you say hopkins achievement was incredible against Pavlik, but one fight prior he lost to Calzaghe and looked anything but incredible, and the excuse is he's old. Thats why I say Hopkins is overrated.

He had a very impressive fight.

Exactly and he had to resort to head butts to pull out a win vs Winky too which was pretty debatable

He moved up 1 weight division + 2 lbs.
