Anyone who justifies the refs actions is an idiot. My uncle is a ref (a good one I might add, unlike the one who reffed the Hatton fight) and he even said the ref was horrible.

And he was. Both fighters should have been penalized multiple times byany competent ref. However, although the ref obviously does not follow the rules, you cannot say the fight itself was unfair as both men wanted to fight dirty. It was plainly obvious. Tszyu said after the fight that he welcomed that style of fight, and he lost at it.

So although the ref is a fool and should be banned, the fight and result was legit. That doesn't mean a different fight in a different venue with a competent ref couldn't turn out different. We'll just have to see (if they rematch).

Yeah but this is a little bit different... This was a WORLD TITLE FIGHT, not the "Sunday afternoon barbeque" fights that your uncle is refereing against you and your brothers in the back garden.

Impressive list there. So he's reffing Casamayor huh..gonna be a busy night for him if Joel fights the way he usually does! He's just about the only fighter than tends to get dirty and it not bug me..dont know why either

My unk was reffed a few Casa fights. He also reffed Kid Diamond's last fight on the Showtime main event. I feel the same way about Casa...he fights dirty but I just don't care. lol

Has your uncle ever said anythign to you about Joel? Like "he will work ya to death" or something like that.. It must be very cool to have family that is involved in the sport on that level. Bet you get to meet alot of fighters dont you (starting to hate you now )
