They both avoided legit comp during their "self-imposed" hiatus. Paul Williams had ssm shook, b-hop too I think. And Chad Dawson had B-hop shook.

So *** slopkins and ssm. The sport of boxing has turned into a cherry tree. And at the roots are salivating pickers.

at the same time you should now know why Golden Boy really no longer wants to promote his fights then?

quite simply at best they broke even on this event so him wanting to fight on costs them if they are his promoter

Its more respect than anything. Hopkins was the first big name to go with goldenboy, and he also has scouted and brought fighters under the company. Scheafer should have spoken with him before asking him to retire. After Pacquoio kicked Oscars ass Scahefer said nothing about retirement until he spoke with De La Hoya.

Look, BHop just wants respect. I think he's earned it.

They've trotted this guy out at all the press conferences, weigh-ins, media events and he's been a VERY GOOD soldier for GBP, and gone to bat for them. They're basically kicking him to curb. Barrera left. Marquez felt like stepping stone. Offering Morales to Hatton as goodbye package? Hell, even Mosley had to use his own PR agency and send out faxes to press on his own (remember he would fight Manny @ 140lbs challenge?) not more than 9 months ago to anyone who would listen.

Promotional company "for the boxers," right Oscar?

He sat it out because he doesn't want to fight anyone who has any chance of beating him, unless he's offered far more money than the viewing figures can possibly justify. So how's that a great point? Does he think HBO is a charity? It's a business and it doesn't owe him a living.

Dawson is universally recognised as the #1 Light Heavyweight and Hopkins is fighting at Light Heavyweight but won't fight Dawson. Any of the top 5 Light Heavyweights would love to fight him, but he isn't interested in fighting any of them. If he won't fight the best in his own weight class he should retire.

He also claimed to be interested in fighting Adamek but then killed the fight by making ridiculous money demands.

Shane also turned down several good fights during his lay-off, so what they have in common is that they both have no one to blame for themselves for their lay-offs.

List of fighters that would love to fight Hopkins while the fights not happening have **** all to do with GBP:
                  Chad Dawson
                  James Toney
                  Steven Cunningham
The Super Six winner down the line.

Hops is being a little *****.
