because he sells tickets? i thought it was because he backs down from nobody and is a great talent to watch..never a boring fight when Cotto is involved..has fought and beaten the best out there.

its not so much the 1-2 lbs difference...did u see how visibly skinny Cotto looked compared to all his previous fights including vs clottey..it seems like he did way more cardio to shed the weight which burned off more muscle than fat..so his power was almost non existant that night...i think he knows that and its the reason for the weight class jump..he couldnt handle coming in at 140 anymore which is why he jumped up to 147..i think 155/156 is gonna be his best option.

Emmanuel Steward is getting ready to look like a boxing genius now that Cotto will move up to a comfortable 154 lbs. Cotto will not have to expend much energy making weight and I see no reason why he won't have a revived career at this weight class.
wow ur an idiot. yeah bro add 2 pounds and that would have been the difference. ur a genius. 2 pounds wouldve beat pacquiao. ******. pac tapped that ass in ever aspect of the fight. cotto doesnt suck but come one man be real. u might as well say the same shat about ODLH coming in weight drained. if he comes in at 150 he outpowers pac. pffff! come on!

I havent seen anything from Foreman to suggest he can beat Cotto, he is slower and hasnt got the power or the skill set to match Miguel.

Look, Cotto has made 140 many times, he said he was fine with the weight and felt great. He also gained about 10 lbs after the weigh in so he was about 154-156 during the fight.

I can't believe the Cotto fans are coming with the 2lbs as an excuse. Did you see the fight? Pac DESTROYED Cotto, it wasn't close man. Those 2lbs would not have made him magically beat Pacman.
get me a link proving that

and no, i'm not even suggesting that cotto was drained or anything. i just wanna know where did you get that info

Cotto's lack of self confidence came after the 2nd round when Pac's speed took that fight over. Cotto was actually fighting well, using his jab well but then Pac started timing the jab and countering and that's when Cotto realized it wasn't such a good idea to keep throwing it...lol

People talk about Cotto didn't have the right game plan but I strongly disagree, he was boxing perfectly in the first 2 rounds, it was Pac's speed that changed the complexion of the fight.
no, it was his lack of confidence, the lack of experience in his corner, pac's relentlessness and roach's gamble to put pac on the ropes to mentally break cotto

pacquiao's team basically said "you can't hurt me". cotto bought that crap and his corner was so pathetic that they didn't do anything about it

oh btw, the fight was competitive until the 5th round, not the 2nd
