it's more of a mental thing with Miguel...I hope Manny will address that.

Sure he can. If he loses this fight he'll probably get a title shot at 160. It's become a pattern for him. Lose a fight, get an automatic title shot just because he sells tickets.Comment

Don't even blame Cotto's loss on the weight. Even if Cotto came in weighing 160 pounds he still would of gotten his ass kicked by Pacquiao. Cotto got beat fair & square. There are no excuses. PacMan was the better man that night & knocked him out. That's all there is to it. Cotto's best just isn't good enough against the PacMan. Stop making excuses.Comment

Stop making excuses. It's really simple, it was a tactical mistake for Cotto to have come in at 145 against Pacman. He should have come in at the welterweight limit of 147, paid the fine and put a hurting on Pacman with the added energy and speed he would have had. Emmanuel Steward is getting ready to look like a boxing genius now that Cotto will move up to a comfortable 154 lbs. Cotto will not have to expend much energy making weight and I see no reason why he won't have a revived career at this weight class.Comment

That's very wishful thinking to believe Cotto will beat Pacquiao in a rematch. Even if they fight at 154 pounds Manny will still win because Cotto has no answer to Pacquiao's speed. Manny can also handle Cotto's power. PacMan asked Cotto to pound him & he wasn't even affected. It was Cotto who couldn't handle Pacquiao's speed & power. For Cotto to get knocked out by a smaller man is embarrassing. Fighting Pacquiao again will only embarrass him even more. Cotto should just move on & avoid Pacquiao. Cotto will do well against Foreman & other fighters but not against the PacMan.Comment

i mean i don't think cotto coming at 145 caused him to lose, but the way you put it, you look like a pacquiao P.R.

Cotto on 145 pounds:
Pre-fight:
"Its no concern of mine whether it is 145 pounds or not," Cotto said.
"That is the usual weight that we cut down to for the weigh in, and in the ring—on fight night—I will go up eight to 10 pounds, so actually during the fight I will weigh around 155," stated Cotto.
Post-fight:
"I felt really good at that weight. It wasn't a problem for me."

Two pounds (or one, if you consider the Clottey weigh in, which was 146) would not have magically made Cotto beat Pacquiao.
