Vitali is not a one-punch type KO artist usually, but a guy with this KO% can't really be called "overrated." He has the power to bust people up badly. Sanders said at the time of their fight he had bruises deep inside his ears, and if you watch the replay of the fight you'll see his one ear was shrivelled up in a grotesque manner at the end of the fight, like it had died or something on its own. Arreola was similarly bleeding from all viewable orifices at the end of his fight with Vitali. Sam Peter couldn't take any more of the beating and quit on his stool. I do think Vitali was a bit stronger before his retirement, but he's still got more than enough power to bust up anyone willing to fight (that leaves out Kevin Johnson) over a few rounds. But Wlad hits harder than Vitali --or anyone else, IMO -- does single-shot wise. Tua is also up there power-wise, but after watching his fight against Friday Ahunanya, I am wondering if he hasn't lost a bit as well. Either that or Friday has a helluva chin, as Tua nailed him with a few shots that would have put many boxers down.

Vitali definitely has power, but not as much as some people think (mainly because of his ko ratio). Sanders himself was a harder puncher than Vitali (and yet had a much lower ko ratio). Vitali wants to take people out, so that's what he does. Most of the time, he gets TKOs, not KOs

I feel Vitali had harder punches before he retired too. It's kind of strange, because I have always heard that the last thing a fighter loses is his power. Vitali is not even that old, and he's in great shape. Anyway.

As for Tua, his power looked the same when he fought Cameron, but I haven't seen him against Friday. However, I know Friday has a good chin, so maybe Tua's power hasn't deteriorated.

If Haye fights the right fight, he can win. He has to be aggressive and quickly cut the distance (as he said himself), then unload on Wlad's chin. It is definitely a very hard fight (Wlad is). I say Haye handles Vitali without much trouble. Haye isn't that small. You can't stand on the outside when you fight Wlad.

Vitali has barely lost a ROUND since he came back. To state that Haye
is going to handle Vitali Klitschko "without much trouble" means you are not a serious person. I'm sure even Haye doesn't agree with you, or he would have fought Vitali when he was supposed to fight him last year. Saturday, we saw a shot Johnny Ruiz with nothing left in his legs (obvious from the first knock down) and yet Haye still let himself get hit hard a few times and taken too far into a fight by a guy he should have had out of there in round one. That kind of sloppiness will be the death of Haye against Vitali Klitschko, IF they ever fight.

People always attempt to try to imply that Wlad's career is worthless because as a younger fighter he got ****y and got caught by a wiley veteran. Personally I don't think it's disgraceful to get KO'd by Corrie Sanders (or by Rahman, or McCall). It's just worth recalling that other
great heavyweights suffered similar knockout losses. It happens in
heavyweight boxing.
