They would be close fights but using the version of Ali that fought Wepner...really?

If you talk "Fantasy" matchups...we put the fighters in the respective peaks.

Remember Ali was a boxer and speed was a major key to his overall style. He was able to make adjustments in the 70s that made him still a great fighter. But im talking prime Ali who could box for 15 rounds without getting tired and throw combos like a 160 pounder.
If we're being honest, then you have to say that Ali's competition in the 1960's was even worse than Klitschko's.

Liston, Patterson, Terrell, are you on crack?

Word. Even a mid-sixties version of Cleveland Williams would destroy most of todays fat, unskilled HWs.

The Liston win was huge (well the first one), but Patterson was washed up and Terrell wasn't any better than someone like Tony Thompson.

No, he wouldn't. Williams was very ordinary by the time he fought Ali. Try looking at his record.

If you were being honest you would admit that Sonny Liston is better than anybody that Wladimir Klitschko has ever fought.

Ali is a matchup that actually favors Wlad until you factor in Ali's will and stamina versus Wlad's average stamina. Ali can win on attrition alone.

Terrell was much better than Tony Thompson. You're being ridiculous.Terrell beat top fighters like Eddie Machen, Cleveland Williams, Zora Folley, Ingemar Johnason, and George Chuvalo. What top rated fighters has Thompson ever beaten? His biggest wins were Dominique Guinn,Timar ibrigimov and Luan Krasniqi. Either you're misinformed, uniformed, or just a delusional Klitschko fan. It amazes me when people like you try to discredit Ali to make Klitschko look better.
