Yeah, I agree here but TS is right to a certain extent. Haye has gotten too bulky and has lost his overall speed. He looked sluggish and his movement; MY GOD; his movement wasn't the same, so slow on his feet. One could never expect him to get close to Wlad/ Vitali with that slow movement. He needs to stop getting bulkier; he looked alot better against Barret.
David Haye and Jeff Lacy prove that lifting weights is bad for a boxer

his routine was slightly similar to that of bodybuilders, but not quite the same. His conditioning coach had to assimilate it to his boxing workout. I am just trying to dispell the myth that weights are bad. It depends on how you do them, and employ them.Comment

Ruiz was landing jabs AT WILL on Haye's face, Haye even quoted post fight "I didn't expect Ruiz to land that often on me"Yeah, I agree here but TS is right to a certain extent. If Ruiz can land AT WILL with his jab what do you think Wlad's jab which is 3 times faster than Ruiz's, 3 times longer, and 12 times more powerful will do to Haye's face? Haye has no chance.Comment

there is differant kind of weight training, there is power lifting, training for size gains, strength training, muscular endurance training, core training the list goes on...Comment

well obviously Hatton EMPLOYED them far differently than Briggs and Haye do because Hatton is not in the slightest bulky and doesn't have body building muscles so you sort of fail there and thus your post made no senseComment

Holyfield is a good example of a cruiserweight boxer who incorporated weightlifting (and shooting in the ass) properly. He's an ATG and an American legend, but my comments go unbiased.Comment

exactly. Weight lifting is a little different when you're obviously Roiding like Oldyfield was. When you get bulky with body building you get slow and lose stamina. But when you do it on ROIDS you retain speed AND stamina, thus the power of roids so that example doesn't quite qualify.Comment

Bold statement.
Hopkins dropped his daily running routine and started to lift weights when he moved to LW and prepared for Tarver. He was stronger than ever and faster in that fight.
There are numerous ways to build up muscle without losing speed, agility and stamina...without doing steroids.Comment
