They have no stamnia and poor work rate. When you lift weights your arms get heavy and tired. Jeff Lacy and the new David Haye prove that.

Yeah, because Haye is exactly like Jeff Lacy. Laughable.

Dino my man, I missed you where you been?

Don't forget Shannon Briggs who has better stamina and work rate than Haye.

You're right, Jeff has more skills and actually fights, doesn't run away like a coward against shot 40 year olds and side show feather fisted giants.

what about ricky hatton? he lifts weights during camp, and he's far from having no stamina, or a poor work rate.

          this thread fails

sure he does. not to the extent those body builders do. Hatton lifts no more than the average boxer. Plus most of his is on the legs not upper body

olympic lifting could only make an average boxer better.....especially if power is one of the best attributes the guy has. but even if a guy isn't known for power, I'd have him do olympic lifting...any fighter should do their clean and jerks...

"better" or do you just mean "more powerful" because the two are not necessarily synonymous

Tell that to John Ruiz who tasted Haye's power and visited the canvas four times. Fail.
