Cotto is quite considerably a lot better then everyone Floyd has fought at Welterweight thus far. That shouldn't even be up for debate.

Rightfully so, but at the time Floyd fought Judah and Baldomir they were the top dogs, especially Baldomir. I remember watching on ESPN and they were grilling Floyd for ducking Baldomir. Of course in hinds-sight everything is 20/20. But I don't thinks its fair to say that those two wins amount to nothing.

boxers like floyd need to be judged by the overall work, not just on a specific division (particularly ww), to get recognition. he already jumped too many weight divisions in his career to even be expected to fight the top contenders on one of his heaviest divisions.

Beating Baldomir gave him another WBC belt to add to the collection, but truth be told, Baldormir's not very good and quite franky he was at the right place at the right time for Floyd.

That win doesn't add any really stock to Floyd's supposed Welterweight greatness. I won't knock his performance in that fight though because he was very good.

Brian Kenny was wrong. And the majority of hardcore fans did not agree with him as far as Baldomir being the stiffest test out there.

Floyd didn't go out of 1st gear in that fight. He didn't have to. Baldomir was tailor made for him.
