I would put him in a list of the best yea but depends on the era, to be honest while there were a lot of good fighters at 147 and it was considered a hot class not alot of greatness happeaned (part of that does fall on Floyd) so I think it is easy to just put him in the list as one of the best.

He would have to do more to be more than just a name in a short list though.

      How so ??

Look, I'm also under the impression that ***** is head n' shoulders above all these cats at WW. But, until he gets it on, all it is, is opinions. You can't rank fighters base on what you think may happen.

You know what Johnnie Cochran would say to cats like you, "Show me"

You're no different than that writer from Sacramento. He voted for ***** as the Fighter of the Decade based on who would win in a head to head matchup amongst the other candidates.

Geez, I wish I could be rewarded for what I haven't accomplished but just based on potential.

Lol, even at pac's 2 fight at welterweight is already greater than the whole ww career of floyd.

It depends on how will floyd do against shane. Floyd's first best oppositon in the welterweight division is mosley.

When 99% of this forum hates him, and only 40% know anything about boxing, that figure makes perfect sense.

Yes Floyd is a top 10. If you consider his LWW fights, definitely. He has beat Arturo Gatti, Carlos Baldomir, a much better version of DLH than Pacquiao fought, Ricky Hatton, and beat JMM very convincingly.

It's amusing that most people will totally disregard Floyd's wins and glorify Pacquiaos, despite the fact that it is well known that JMM beat Pacquiao, and Floyd straight up schooled him, and Pac fought a terrible half dead version of DLH, and Floyd fought a fresh, fast, powerful, and more driven (and younger) version of DLH.

You can hate Floyd all you want, that's fine. You don't have to like his big mouth or his boring style, but the guy is a VERY GOOD BOXER. That is why NOBODY can beat him!

Man, wake the **** up, people. You all just hate him so much that you can't even at least acknowledge his greatness? I don't like him either as a fighter, I find him very boring (only the last several years), but the dude has major skills and it isn't likely that he will lose to anybody in the fight game at this point. He's too damn good.

Beating Shane Mosley will bump his greatness up many notches if he can pull it off. It's a 50/50 fight, but I like Floyd's chances.
