      It's his last chance.

If he passes up this opportunity to fight Wlad, he'll be stripped of his IBF mandatory status.

Then I think IBF #2 Sam Peter will fight somebody to become the mandatory, maybe the winner of Arreola-Adamek.

Arrreola fought other decent opponents like Brian Minto and the 21-0 Damien Wills, who was considered a top up-and-comer at the time. Cristobal has defeated all his opponents except Vitali in an impressive way.

Povetkin has ONE good win: Eddie Chambers. Byrd was a shot fighter after Wlad KOed him in 2006. Donald was old, Bostice was never any good. Estrada and Ahunyana are decent but just JOURNEYMEN.

Povetkin will be KOed in an earlier round than Chambers. He's easier to hit - tailor-made for Wladimir!

you & I have different opinions on fighters.wills had a bloated record like many Europeans.arreola is a solid heavyweight who had some decent wins but fat mccline & chazz & walker don't get you ready for vitali.if mcclines in shape he goes 12 with arreola & prepares him.Byrd & donald may have been older but they were both former solid fighters & gave povetkin 21 rounds of experience vs quality pros & ahunsnya & bostice are solid journeyman who have been around.chambers was his best win & estrada was a good stay busy fight with little threat to be hurt.he was brought along right.he's spinning his wheels & needs to fight wlad now.chances don't come too often.I think he is more prepared.I do believe arreola will be one of the top heavyweights for the next 5 years along with povetkin & haye.wlad is the best out there.

Povetkin might have one of the best heavyweight resumes out of a number of recent Klitschko opponents, but his last few fights have been pathetic. Still, if as he's been continually harping on about for two years now he 'isn't ready' for Wlad then what has he done to actually prepare himself? Very little, so far as I can see. Which to me means he's ducking Wlad (and good competition in general). So, Alex, either vacate the mandatory position or man up and fight, but for the love of God drop this lame 'I'm not ready yet' crap.It doesn't wash any more.

I agree. Povetkin is much more aggressive than Chambers, so it will be a more exciting fight, but those wide hooks he throws will leave him wide open for the long, straight jabs and right hands of Wlad. This should be Wlad's most exciting fight in years, but should leave Povetkin severely beaten up and stopped in 5.

Povetkin isn't ready yet, are his people and him selling-out. I mean he'd probably lose either way when he does step up to fight Wlad, but its much too soon for him. He still has way too many flaws. Its ashame when brothers have to fight each other, they share the blood-lines... My Russian and Ukrainian brothers.

I'm a mix of every race almost. I'm Italian, Russian, and British... Knowledge none of you needed.
