I don't think it's amazing, all sub cultures tend to leak out to the main stream. What I don't understand is how our basic sense or right and wrong is so twisted by young people. Who can think punching an old lady and stealing her purse is "thug"?
I wouldn't be as bothered if he was caught selling drugs or fighting in the street but this idiotic crime? I mean it's just weird to say the least.Good points, men. I mused about all this after I posted, but got too busy to come back. Agreed to all. There's nothing new about this either though. People have always been obsessed with crime and criminals in pop culture. Go back as far as you want. Just look how the mafia was romanticised for the mass market, look how guys like Sinatra used that element of 'danger' to market themselves. The tough guy thing is part and parcel of our culture.Comment

It was a Matthysse fan who became self righteous...who in all actuality just really got sick of hearing about Broner, and dug up the 2-3 year old article JUST because Broner got too much shine on ESB by everyone, that's all lol.Comment

Yeah, it's OK to beat up old ladies and steal their purses if it happened in 2010.
That's like back in the days of Ancient Rome, isn't it?Comment

All of you idiots in here claiming without question that he beat and robbed an old lady all **** dogs, and **** grandmothers, while watching child ****.
Prove you didn't...
Good luck though. I just said its true so it must be.Comment

i give credit where credit is due....And that was a good post. With that being said ... my issue with the last post was people not caring. A lot goes on in the world that we dont know about. I personally never heard about this up until last night. There are a lot of hating critical poster on this forum that would have commented more if they have seen it as well or if it was bigger news. And when someone is more popular or hated ...it will always be bigger news. It does not mean that just because others didnt post or comment then dont care or agree with what he did. I see your point though. That's not what I meant. Nobody in this thread cared about her 2 years ago given that it only had 8 responses. It gets bumped overnight and now all of the sudden its over 200 responses.
This same outrage should have been present in 2010 when the incident happened. And people like you should have been proactive with your outrage and not support Adrien Broner by contributing to his ratings on HBO.
But like I said in my last post. This is what you guys crave as boxing fans. You love controversy, you love villains and that's why certain guys are being appointed the next generation of stars and others aren't.
If boxing fans wanted good guys to get ahead, Andre Ward with his skills, resume and character should be the biggest star in the sport right now. But that's not what you want to see or talk about. You want Broner.Comment
